This firm fraudulently deducts frivolous cleaning fees from deposits, for things such as cleaning outdoor screens and windows, "refrigerator sanitations", "mold treatments," parking lot oil stains (my 2006 car does not leak,) carpet and oven cleanings. The invoice was severely inflated compared to commercial cleaning service rates. I left my unit much cleaner than I found it, and received less than 10% of my deposit back. I contacted the Better Business Bureau and found out this firm had a notorious history of these practices and they ignore all contact from the BBB. They advised my only option was civil claims or class action through my universities legal services office. No coincidence they have a F rating with the BBB, since 2008.



Update:

I returned to Morro Bay in early 2013, prospectively to buy a home they listed: they refused to inform the seller of my offer for a home on Monterrey Ave., or even to deal with me as a buyer, though I had financing approved and liquid funds...all because of my efforts to collect my deposit previously when i rented an apartment managed from them. In 2008!



This practice is especially hurtful to the seller. It saddens me to see such a crocked firm in our community. Students, sellers, buyers and landlords have been abused by this firm.
