Had dinner at Lubranos last night. I was not impressed with the garlic knots. The house italian dressing was good. I had the seafood diavolo and my wife had the stuffed shells. The diavolo sauce was a little watery, but once I was able to separate the water out the sauce was quite good. I would suggest they simmer it a little longer though. My wife liked the shells. The service was friendly, but we were placed at a table close to the door so I got a chill every time the door opened. I also had the canoli for dessert, and it was VERY good. The wine selection was a little small, but the wine I had was very good. I would recommend this restaurant to a friend.
This review is for their location on TW Alexander Drive. Manchester's Grill is our favorite restaurant. We had our rehearsal dinner there as well …
We're from Boston. We have great Italian food. I was a little nervous about North Carolina pizza. I mean they cook circles around us when it comes to BBQ, but pizza? Anyway, I read the owner of this place is from Jersey and his mother's still cooking in Naples (Italy, not Florida). Jersey has great Italian food. So, we tried their pizza, I'm glad we did. It was great. Just like the North End. Nice people, too. We gotta get back and try some more of the menu.
