After paying another area shop $546 (more than my computer's worth) for virus removal and 1GB ram upgrade, my machine still didn't work. They other shop told me it wasn't their problem. They said that as long as I had Charter as my provider my computer wasn't going to work. And they never offered to help me figure out what the problem was. In desperation, I called Logon and spoke with Frank. It was obvious to me within minutes of that conversation that I should have taken my computer to Logon in the first place. For a minimal amount he had my computer working in no time; he installed a free virus protection program, a new router, and another 1GB of ram for me. He was fast, knowledgeable, and not at all condescending which was in stark contrast to the shop where I had just wasted $546. The ram upgrade installed at Logon cost $30. For 1GB of ram at the other shop I had paid $149.99. The real kicker, though, was that the other shop had installed used ram and charged me eight times more than the new upgrade with manufacturer's lifetime warranty installed by Frank. My experience with Logon has taught me one thing: all computer repair shops are not equal. For someone like me, with little technical computer knowledge, and even less knowlege about the pricing of computer parts and repairs, it is essential to find a computer repairman who is not only smart but honest. I have found that person in Frank.
