I have been using this cab service for about 3 years, give or take&within that time, the overall service has done nothing but decline horrendously. Im not typically one to complain about a company or write a bad review, let alone, write one at all, but this needed to be said&brought to others, especially management/business owners&fellow paying customers attention. Not only have i went from using this company daily to pretty much not at all..the last time was about a month ago, when i called an hour ahead of the time i needed picked up to schedule my pickup time extra early&still waited close to 2 hours, even after calling the dispatch back numerous times to find out the problem..but they're no excuse for that long of a wait regardless of the reason, yet, i sympathized&remained nice&friendly..anyways that was the first time i had used them in about 3/4 months, realizing why i hadn't used them in so long.. Anyways, thismorning i call them to ask for a cab from the suncrest town centre area to Brookhaven road in&back..that which immediately became clear to me was going to be a problem when the dispatcher became extremely rude towards me simply for answering his question when he asked if i was getting dropped off or returned, to which i answered like i just explained, only i wasnt able to finish responding because he rudely interrupted&cut me off by saying that he, nor any of his drivers on the clock had the time to wait for me at the location i request to be taken to, even though I had explained that i only had to run in&out, to which he interrupted me again, saying once more how no driver had the time for that&if i "just HAD to be returned, that i might as well be prepared for an hour or more wait" to which i respond by saying, "No, i dont want to waste any more of your precious time you are so short on, so ill call Motown Taxi like i should've done to begin with&normally do now, but my apologies for burdening you with my outrageously requested service."
Have been waiting over an hour and a half for a ride that was promised to be a pickup time in 20 min. Called back several times and pretty sure the guy who answered was drunk, very rude, and said they were "working on it." Now, I'm late for work. No wonder this company is failing miserably.
Took them almost a hour to pick me up and when they finally did pick me up I had to walk half way across the parking lot and the driver called me and said very rudely what can u not see me and the fumes from the car were so strong they gave me a headache and the cab was in disgusting shape just all around rude and slow service
Wow - so if you are lucky enough to read the absolutely terrible reviews of this service that stretch over MANY YEARS before you try them, then you are fortunate. I flew into Morgantown and tried the yellow cab phone in the terminal. It rang and rang and rang. . . I tried again a few minutes later - same thing. I called the new taxi company in Morgantown - Motown Taxi - and I was in their cab and heading to my hotel in less than 20 minutes. This is a great example of market forces at work. I think it is a safe bet that yellow cab will be diminishing quite rapidly given its new competition.
A friend was a taxi driver and quit because his van had bed bugs. I called a taxi while at the mall and waited 2hrs which still didn't show up so I ended up paying so stranger to take me home. Because of the mall incident, I was at Walmart and did some major grocery shopping, I called the taxi waited 30min by target. I decided to get a couple more things. about after 20 more mins. I called dispatch and the guy said that the taxi showed up but I wasn't there. well duhh... the taxi normally calls your cell to hurry you up. but I eneded up walking home instead. You are the worst taxi service here. I hope that new one opens up soon, even if it costs more it would be totally worth it.
Stinks...literally. Everything from dispatcher attitude to the cabs. Once the cab arrived 45mins after my initial call to be taken to the airport ���� I had to put my own luggage into the trunk. Oh and no they do not accept Debit Cards. Cash ONLY! That wasnt a problem since the driver offered to drive me to an atm. While I ran into the gas station for no more than 2 mins, the driver decided to have a smoke break...INSIDE THE CAB!! Really?!! You are on a job. How unprofessional. Lucky I don't have asthma!! The car reeked of cigarette smoke the entire way to the airport. Luckily I didnt miss my flight being that I arrived 30 mins before departure. Never again will I utilize this company. Better off driving or busing it.
I was looking for a cab to go to the WVU basketball game. I read all the bad reviews and used them anyway. My driver was Larry and was awesome. He showed up on time and picked us up and brought us back. I was impressed with the service. Thanks yellow cab!!!!! If you use them definitley ask for Larry, great guy!!!

I called a cab for my friend at 6.30 am who is gonna go out of town. The bus is at 8.10 am from mountaineer st. when I called and said I need a cab by 7.30, the CS person says that he is not sure if he could get me a cab by that time. So I ask what time is the latest and he is not sure either. Then okay I’ll wait. By 7 Am, I called again just to make sure if he think he can get me the cab by the time or not, because if it isn’t then my friend and I take an alternative by walking before it’s too late, because there is no other public transportation running in the early morning on that day. If I waited for hours like usual, then my friend would miss the bus and the plane, therefore I call the cab to make sure, not to complain. But You might probably never imagine, what the CS person says to me. I was asking “do you think you still can get me a cab by 7.30?” before I finish my words and explanation he suddenly gets angry and put the blame on me, he said “ we already sent you a cab and call you but you didn’t answer bla bla bla …Now we can’t get you a cab” with a high tone and unending words. And I said “no one is calling me..” before I finish my words, he hang up the phone. That is really harsh. I felt terrible, I thought I did mistake for my friend since I have limited balance, but when my friend check to call me and surprisingly my phone is ringing. So definitely , the CS guy is made up a reason. So be careful ! This reminded me that they ever did it to me before, exactly with the same way and same reason. Now, I know, it seems they want to reduce the load of carrying passangers . It is so rude the way they reject customer while they are in a high demand is by putting the blame on the customer. I don’t know what exactly is going on in this company and how they managed it so terrible. My friend and I ended up walking 45 minutes by carrying luggage all the way to mountaineer station passing through the high way. And unbelievable, I saw a cab on my way of walking stopping by in a place.
If people are questioning, why I keep using the cab while I get terrible service everytime, it’s because I have no choice, I have no car and can’t afford it , I am not originally from here and have no relatives, when the prt or bus or walking is not possible and my friends couldn’t help me. I really have no other option. But definitely, I really avoid to call a cab as best as I could, because it wastes my time and it is nerve wracking. I am young and okay to wait in a cold condition, but how about if you make very old man or woman wait for hours? don’t u ever think of customer satisfaction ? needs? And condition? I personally feel sorry to see them waiting.
There are definitely so many ways to fix the way you work, try to carry several nearby customers who will go to the same or closed destinations one at a time. That way the driver no need to go back and forth carry each customer, and adjust the rate. If the revenue enough, u can add more cabs. And so many other ways. There must be solution if this company are willing to improve their services.
I can’t understand this kind of service company is ever exist. You definitely need a better management. It is better to say unable to get the customer directly than saying “I will get you as fast as we can”, but it comes out to be few hours later. That’s not how it works. If you have limited resource of taxi cab or driver and can’t get the customer till a few hours then say it and let the customer decide if they wants to wait and take the service or not. I know you don’t want to lose customer, but saying yes and making the customer have desperate time of waiting is not solving problems and in fact u have limited resource. That way you will even lose more and more customers because you have lost their trusts.
They can never answer their damn phones it takes them two hours to pick you up! I sick and tired that when i actaully need a dn ride from them they screw everything up. I call them twp hours befpre i have to be at work and half the time they dont get till i have to be at work. Theu are terrible and to find better management or somthing.
