I am currently relying on public transportation and, often time, decide to order a taxi in advance to get to work the next morning. I order through the app between 7-12 hours ahead of time and give a pick up time well before when I should leave because I know things may be delayed. However, more often than not, I never receive notice that a taxi is coming or even requested for me. I give them the benefit of the doubt and wait about 15 minutes past my pick up time and still nothing. When I attempt to call, the wait is long and I have to work it out with a friend to help. I want to support this compant, especially since Yellow Cab is such a mess, but right now I don’t feel like I can trust Motown Cab to do what I need.
My son is a WVU student who missed his bus home for the summer holiday. The manager, Thomas, was very helpful to getting a driver to him so he would not miss his flight home. He helped me arrange for payment over the phone for my son a nd had a driver to him in under 10 minutes. My son made his flight from the Pittsburgh Airport thanks to Motown Taxi's quick response to a less than ideal situation. Thank you Thomas and Thank you Motown Taxi!
Very disappointed. Taxi was 55 minutes late. I called 10 minutes after it was supposed to arrive and I was told it would be 20 more minutes. When it didn't show I called again. At this point it was 40 minutes after it was supposed to arrive and was told it would only be 5 more minutes. I then had to wait another 15 before the driver arrived. The driver was extremely nice and the car was in great condition, but don't count on it getting you somewhere on time.
This taxi service is excellent. I called them from the airport and in less than twenty minutes I was in the taxi headed towards my hotel. Great driver and the vehicle was in almost new condition. This company has entered a market that DESPERATELY needed a taxi company and they are doing a fantastic job.
