BOPARC provides year-round comprehensive programs and facilities to the Morgantown community and its visitors. It maintains, develops and expands recreational facilities, as well as the community's parklands, greenways, trails and historically significant facilities. The department offers a variety of summer programs for the residents of Morgantown, W.Va., such as camps, programs, recreational activities, including softball, swimming lessons and tennis coaching, special events, and trips. Various parks and facilities operated under the Board of Park and Recreation Commissioners include Krepps Park, Whitemore Park, Morgantown Ice Arena, Marilla Pool and Skate Park, Lakeview Resort, the Metropolitan Theatre, Dorsey Knob Lodge, and Stanley s Spot Dog Park.
