Totally a money making scam. We took our childfor a couple of years. Had to not only pay monthly minimum of around $90.00, and buy uniform. Every time they test to another belt it is an additional fee if they do not pass they have to retest and you have to pay the fee for testing every single time. They wanted him in "The Black Belt Club." It ended up being more expensive monthly, had to buy him a bunch of padding/equipment costing an additional $400.00. All they do is teach "forms." It is mostly for show and for parent's who have money to pay for different belts, certificates. It is not traditional martial arts by any stretch of the imagination. The reason why we kept him in is because after the initial "free" classes they make you sign a contract. I would say we spent easily close to if not more than $3,000. He learned nothing except silly forms. So, if you are looking for some real physical activity this is not where I would spend your money.
Best form of real self defense I have come across yet. simple and effective and def based for real stuff!
I looked at a lot of places and these guys had the best price and very friendly and knowledgable. Will definitely go back to buy my wife's first gun.
I used to love this store prior to its expansion. Since then I've found it to be very customer unfriendly. In March of this year I called the store to check on a price and availability of a shotgun I wanted to buy for my husband's April birthday. I called 3 different times and got a recording saying they were busy to try later. I then left an email message asking about the gun....no response. Finally, I went to the store where there were five people ahead of me. There was NO ONE waiting on customers. There was a woman and small child behind the counter and she once looked into the back room where I assumed the owner was, but no one said "someone will be with you soon" or " thank you for your patience". After waiting 15 minutes the first guy in line left. I waited 5 or 10 more minutes before I left and still not one person checked on the customers. While waiting I was also put off by the signs that were borderline rude, (ie No muddy boots). I will never buy another gun or accessory in that store. I will go to Streets in Masontown where they have real customer service.
Friendly service and great prices! They have a huge selection of handguns and limited editions by Lipsey and Talo. Nice to not get that ‘we are doing you a favor by letting you come into our shop’ that I would constantly get at Marstiller's. They order me a revolver and was friendly and helpful through the whole process.
I'll start by saying I was a loyal customer at Marstiller's for over 15 years but upon hearing that they were closing down, I went into the Second Amendment for the first time today and was completely impressed. Frankly, I'm mad I didn't start coming here years ago. They have a tremendous selection of every type of firearm and have their guns marked at the lowest prices I have ever seen. I'm talking about price tags that are $50 and even $100 lower than what I had paid for the same guns at Marstiller's. The staff at the Second Amendment were all very attentive to my questions and the other customers as well. They were genuinely nice and exhibited extensive knowledge and patience - again, virtues I'm bitter to say I was never afforded as a customer at Marstiller's. I will be going to make my first purchase from them in the coming days and will provide an update regarding that experience.
Excellent service. I came here from NJ and they helped me through the steps of what i needed to do in order to purchase a handgun. Great empolyees, great prices, I'll defiantly come back again.
I had such a great experience here, that I will never buy anywhere else again. Greg puts a lot of time in his customers. I was probably a pain, not know ing what I was looking for and Greg (the owner) and his dad both took time to show me many different models and I received an education on guns. I admit that I did go shopping other places as well, but came back here because guns are way less expensive, like $30-70 less than anyplace else. Thanks guys!
