Couldn’t get a cab in Fairmont even if they weren’t driving around I called almost 2 hours ago and still no cab 🚕
Yellow Cab is now in Fairmont West Virginia 24 hours. They're usually early or on time. Occasionally they are late but that's because they're very busy and Fairmont.
I use them quite often sometimes there very quick and other times it might take an hour but I know they get busy so I just wait just as long as I get there safely that's what matters most
I have been using this cab service for about 3 years, give or take&within that time, the overall service has done nothing but decline horrendously. Im not typically one to complain about a company or write a bad review, let alone, write one at all, but this needed to be said&brought to others, especially management/business owners&fellow paying customers attention. Not only have i went from using this company daily to pretty much not at all..the last time was about a month ago, when i called an hour ahead of the time i needed picked up to schedule my pickup time extra early&still waited close to 2 hours, even after calling the dispatch back numerous times to find out the problem..but they're no excuse for that long of a wait regardless of the reason, yet, i sympathized&remained nice&friendly..anyways that was the first time i had used them in about 3/4 months, realizing why i hadn't used them in so long.. Anyways, thismorning i call them to ask for a cab from the suncrest town centre area to Brookhaven road in&back..that which immediately became clear to me was going to be a problem when the dispatcher became extremely rude towards me simply for answering his question when he asked if i was getting dropped off or returned, to which i answered like i just explained, only i wasnt able to finish responding because he rudely interrupted&cut me off by saying that he, nor any of his drivers on the clock had the time to wait for me at the location i request to be taken to, even though I had explained that i only had to run in&out, to which he interrupted me again, saying once more how no driver had the time for that&if i "just HAD to be returned, that i might as well be prepared for an hour or more wait" to which i respond by saying, "No, i dont want to waste any more of your precious time you are so short on, so ill call Motown Taxi like i should've done to begin with&normally do now, but my apologies for burdening you with my outrageously requested service."
I am currently relying on public transportation and, often time, decide to order a taxi in advance to get to work the next morning. I order through the app between 7-12 hours ahead of time and give a pick up time well before when I should leave because I know things may be delayed. However, more often than not, I never receive notice that a taxi is coming or even requested for me. I give them the benefit of the doubt and wait about 15 minutes past my pick up time and still nothing. When I attempt to call, the wait is long and I have to work it out with a friend to help. I want to support this compant, especially since Yellow Cab is such a mess, but right now I don’t feel like I can trust Motown Cab to do what I need.
This is the worst company that I have ever seen as far as trying to get a job with they tell you that they will hire you and then they will not because they say they cannot pull it in VR but other companies can pull in the MVR so apparently the people running the company do not know what they're doing and as far as their rates go they are very high compared to other cab companies
Fairmont general hospital is using this company when you are discharged, my driver was obviously drunk, and took a route that was absurd. Fairmont gen is going to get sued sooner or later, because of these idiots. dirty/unprofessional
I just had a horrible experience with a driver from this service. He did not know where he was going and refused to use gps or listen to directions. He got frustrated and began screaming and cursing at me. He was irrational and i believe he had a drug problem. I have never had a problem with this service until today. If you use motown taxi i hope you dont get the crazy crackhead driver! I ended up having to exit the taxi and walk to my destination.
My son is a WVU student who missed his bus home for the summer holiday. The manager, Thomas, was very helpful to getting a driver to him so he would not miss his flight home. He helped me arrange for payment over the phone for my son a nd had a driver to him in under 10 minutes. My son made his flight from the Pittsburgh Airport thanks to Motown Taxi's quick response to a less than ideal situation. Thank you Thomas and Thank you Motown Taxi!
Very disappointed in my service. I called two hours in advance to set up a pickup time so that I would not be late to work. Five minutes before I called the dispatcher to check on my cab and he said. Oh they are just finishing up a fair and should be there soon. The driver was 20 minutes late and then drove out of control to get me to work on time. Why allow people to set up appointments if you can not keep them. Very unprofessional!!!!
