Very nice and professional staff. They explain everything that is going on and answer questions. I have found a new doctor for my pet. I am a customer for a very long time now.
If there's a life threatening emergency spend 50% more and drive the extra 20 minutes to PVSEC.You'll waste your money and jeopardize your pets life…

I took my multi-player here to be spayed and since she was having trouble losing her baby teeth, they pulled 12 baby teeth. She did great, the cost was wonderful, the doctor was very professional and the office is very caring and loved my puppy as much as I do. I couldn't ask for more. I HIGHLY recommend this practice.
My girlfriend went to Cheat Lake Animal Hospital for a pre-neuter appointment for my cat with a voucher from a local spay/neuter charity. She has used a voucher in the past at Cheat Lake Animal Hospital, and called ahead to confirm that this voucher was accepted, just in case. She was assured that the voucher was accepted. When she showed up the morning of the appointment (keep in mind this is not a short drive for us, nor is scheduling and making an appointment easy with our schedules), she was sent to a room to fill out some paperwork and then wait for a vet. She was left in this room for 40 minutes. No one checked in on her. The place was clearly not busy; in fact, she was the only customer present. When someone finally came in to see her, she was told that the voucher would not be accepted. This is the same voucher that she called ahead to confirm would be accepted.Total waste of hours of our time. We will never be returning.
Until today have been pleased with services but I have been waiting 2 hours for an emergency visit and see no end in sight. Staff seems unconcerned by wait. May be looking for a new vet soon.
Terrible service. Seem to only be interested in making money. Called to leave a message to speak to a doctor but never heard back. Called again and had a receptionist giving me veterinary advice. Was told the doctors were too busy to call owners back. I've had pets all my life in different areas of the country and have always had vets that have cared enough to speak over the phone rather than waste both our times with an office visit. But an office visit is money in their pocket.
CLAH practices very high-quality medicine. Compassionate and caring, too.
Wait times are horrific. Dr. Taylor struggles with interacting with patients owners. Staff unfriendly and unprofessional. If you truly care about your pets don't bring them here.
We finally got our cat's remains back. I cannot recommend enough that pet owners avoid Cheat Lake Animal Hospital. They do not keep track of your pet. One vet would give us good news, then the next wouldn't know anything about our animal, and then things would take a turn for the worse. There was little consistency in suggested treatments, each new vet or employee caring for Callie seemed completely unaware of her situation, and we were not given any guidance that would have indicated she might not make it through the night. Obviously, we would have liked to have been with her at the end. When she took a turn for the worse in the middle of the night, we were called once. We were asleep (at 3 am) and missed the call. They didn't bother to attempt another call for another four hours. Finally, our requests for her remains were ignored for four days. They gave us multiple excuses as to why they had not yet done as we asked and sent her body to be cremated, yet finally, it came down to the fact that they simply didn't keep track of her and forgot about her. Seriously, take your pets elsewhere.
