I've had a few experiences with the drivers that makes me wonder does this company even look into the background or drug test their drivers?
The handful of times i've used Yellow Cab the cars always smell like cigarette smoke. Understandably it takes time and money to keep up with the maintenance, but some of the cars do not seem to be in the best condition for this line of business.
I travel often, and have ridden in cabs in Charlotte and there is quite a difference compared to a smaller area like Mooresville.

Yellow Cab of Lake Norman has been around for many years, and offers good service for the money. The drivers are all certified by the town of Mooresville, and have a drug and criminal background check.
The company has full commercial cab insurance! Many of the other ""late-nite"" cabs run with out-of-state license plates and personal auto insurance. (Don't say you weren't warned.)
The owner is a good guy and tries hard to make sure his cab service is first-rate. Most people I know are very satisfied, and don't use any other cab service because they know what they get with Yellow Cab.
I've read a couple negative reviews on this site, and like any companies, there's going to be a problem once in awhile. They are the minor exception, and not the rule. You will get a good ride in Yellow Cab of Lake Norman. 704-664-3232

THIS IS THE WORST CAB COMPANY EVER. The people are rude and the vehicles stink. We called a 4 days in advance for a ride to Charlotte for dinner with some friends. Two hours prior to the scheduled arrival they called to see if they could pick us up an hour early. It did not work for us. They did get a van there on time, but it had one less seat then needed. It also smelled like and ash tray, had low air in the tires (as it shook and rattled the whole way there) and had NO AIR. We were wedged in like cattle and had to have window opened to be able to breath due to the heat and stench.
The driver told us we could pay at pick up, but then demanded full payment when we arrived. I didn't trust them to return at this point and talked to the manager. I explained all the issues I had above, but she still demanded full payment. I suggested half payment until pick up and she said if I did not pay in full she would press charges. I paid half and told them not to return.
We took a real cab company home.

On Friday the 6th of April we called Yellow cab to pick us up --- the dispatcher hung up on us three times - once he said ""call me back when I can hear you"", next he said ""call me back when you know where you are"" third he said ""call me back when you are prepared"" Bear in mind we were from out of town and in the time it took me to ask, what is the address, hehad hung up. Every time I called back to get a cab he was rude. He would give no information just kept telling me how angry I was - I explained that him hanging up in me was indeed making me angry.
I will never recommend this cab company and would love to form a pickett line!
