About Search Results

YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

Everyone was friendly; I'll say that much. But -- having just returned from an appointment -- I am extraordinarily frustrated. First, although I arrived at 7:45 for a plain old eye exam, I did not get out of there until 9:45... and that was only because I turned down the contact lens fitting upon learning that my insurance wouldn't cover it along with glasses (not Itec's fault, of course); had I done all I'd planned to do, I would have been there even longer. I think that this was because Itec appeared to schedule three patients for my doctor at exactly 8:00. It's unclear to me how they thought he was going to see all of us at once. Second--speaking of unclarity--no one mentioned that my vision might be blurred for a few hours. My job involves a lot of reading, and I can't do that right now. Had I known, I would have scheduled an appointment for later in the day. The upshot is that it took two hours (!) for me to obtain a prescription, and it might as well have been three or more since the pupil dilation rendered me unable to work this morning. (To be clear, I'm not complaining that they dilated my pupils; I'm frustrated that no one said anything like, "please be advised that you may not be able to see clearly for some time after the exam" when I scheduled my appointment.) I'm giving two stars instead of one because, unlike the only other eye doctor I've visited in Montgomery, at least the fellow I saw this morning didn't seem like a crazy person. And again, the whole staff was very courteous (excepting their failure to apologize for the wait).
