They were great with my old HVAC systems until they weren't. I had them for seasonal checkups for my heating and a/c. The last time they were here the tech tried to scam me into replacing ,my a/c system by claiming that my a/c was using Freon -- it is supposed to use Freon to cool. I called my home warranty company and there was nothing wrong with my a/c and it did not need freon.
Unlike the other reviews I had zero issues. Went thru home warranty and a guy came out the same day. Unit needed to be replaced and he put that order in. It took a week and a half but I understand the paperwork you must go thru. Sam came out today and installed and even wrote up a refund on my invoice that I have already paid. This was a package unit that would of cost a great deal but I paid $700 bucks.. Sam was great. Maybe they have had issues in the past but today there were ZERO. Thanks!!
I wish I could give this company 0 stars or even negative stars. I went through my home warranty company for AC repair/service since my AC was out (in the beginning months of summer, I might add). Myers came out within 1 day, which is good; however, they needed to come back out to replace a coil and add refrigerant which they said would be the following week. A week later, they still had not shown up to complete the job. I tried to call Myers for 2 days and every time I called, I was on hold for at least 30 mins. so I hung up. After doing this for 2 days, I called my home warranty company and told them the situation. They said the coil was on BACK ORDER!! Back order??? Who the hell does not have a coil in stock - and especially in May???!!! And since Myers is contracted with my home warranty company, I couldn't use any other company. I advise everyone to stay away from this company...they cannot be reached and their expertise obviously sucks since they do not have coils in stock!!
Before you schedule an apt. with them, make sure you ask them about all charges! They charge the base charge 89$ just to come to your house and it doesn't include anything so after it even if they do a very small repair like cleaning dust without any replacements, no new parts, your bill will be close to 200$. Not so happy about it because when I had other companies, their base charges did include some small maintenance like cleaning dust, etc... So I just don't see how a dust cleaning can be 100$. Never call them anymore. Can't even imagine what would be the cost if you actually need to fix something with new parts. But on a good note, they did come very quickly, answered all my calls, explained me all charges. No issues with a customer support, they are very good about it.
Extremely unprofessional and rude. Would not use them solely out of their lousy customer service and terrible response time. Unimaginably unreliable.
Dealing with this company through American Home Shield is a joke. Takes forever to receive any time of answer and they will not respond to AHS with a diagnostic report. TERRIBLE SERVICE ALL THE WAY AROUND. LAST TIME THEY WERE OUT TECHNICIAN SAW THE ISSUE BUT STATED THERE WASNT AN ISSUE???????? Enough Said don't use this company
Words cannot express how bad this company is. After dealing with them for a month through American Home Shield, we still do not have properly working AC units. All of the below reviews were astoundingly similar to outlet experience. They do tried to tell us we had poor insulation. They tried to tell us it was a record year for heat! We showed them the power company readings from last year showing it's only 1 -2 degrees warmer- yet AC is remarkably worse!! I made them take temperature measurements inside at the intake and at the vents- there is supposed to be a 15 degree drop- and there was only 6-9 degrees , but they refuse to document that in their paperwork. Do not hire them!!!!!!
When my air conditioner malfunctioned after a storm, I called LuQuire during normal business hours and I received excellent phone instructions on how to restart the unit. Unfortunately, the unit malfunctioned on Sunday and a technician returned my call 5 hours after requesting service. I had to call the answering service 3 times before I received the call. When the technician responded to my request, he refused to come. He stated that he had to get some sleep. I called the answering service to request another technician, and I was told that only one technician was on duty. I was instructed to call the office in the morning. In other words, endure the heat during the night and you will receive help during normal business hours, Based upon my experience, LuQuire offers excellent service during their normal business hours. The 24/7 advertisement is false.I am happy to say that the LuQuire technician called again and stated that he had two cancellations. He was on his way to our house. He was a friendly and courteous young man. He quickly fixed the problem. He stated that he called within 2 hours of our request for service, but there was problem with the phone system. Thank you, LuQuire, for your support. I am changing my rating to a 3.
I wish there was a no star option for this garbage company. Being overpriced and quoting unnecessary repairs is one thing but to be completely unprofessional and rude is another. I called to ask a few questions and the "lady" (I use that term loosely) as snappy and defensive. I am very happy I do not live there because she made me mad enough to pay a visit if I did. American Home Shield had them as our vendor. I added them to our refused vendor list and decided to hire a local company that doesn't charge $55 a pound of freon compared to local companies that charge $35. Having to be reimbursed is more of a hassle but considering the technician that came out initially destroyed my grass backing out of my driveway and leaving huge ruts, I'm willing to take the extra steps. I would work a second job while enduring searing heat from my AC not working and pay out of pocket before I gave this company a dime!UPDATE: We hired a local company that determined the problem was not the entire condenser instead it was 2 parts that totaled $148. Further proof this company is either crooked or incompetent.
The tech was very knowledgeable and did a great job at explaining what he had to check and what he was doing through out the process. He even provided his personal phone number in case I had issues and needed to contact him later. Over all it was five star experience and I am loving my new WIFI thermostat.
