First, when calling a business you would think they would answer with the name of thier business. When you call this company they are answering like it was a home number. Next, since we have purchased a motor from this company and all along speaking with a man named JIM (since there is no Larry), we have had nothing but problems.

The motor wasn't delivered on time as stated by JIM. The fly wheel wasn't shipped with the motor as it should have been. There was no paperwork with the delivery about the motor, the parts included in the motor, the balance sheet, etc. We have been trying to get JIM to fax this information to us for three weeks now. Not only have we not received anything from JIM via fax as he keeps promising, the motor has major issues with it and can not run with the various issues with the motor.

This appears to be a legal company on the website and magazines but if you go to the website www.larrysperformance.com the website hasn't been updated since 2002. This should have been our first warning along with the way they answer the phone and provide service.

I was suckered out of $1950.00 by James "Jimmy" Escamilla. He is a fast talking scam artist who speaks a bunch of garbage.

I brought my vintage car to have the engine rebuilt after finding them on the web.
I should have drove off when I first arrived, and saw what a junk yard the place is.

They fixed my engine, and the body to my car all right! They gave me back the car with a transmission mount broken, and then after limping home I also found out the motor mount was also broken. Jimmy drove me around the block with it shaking, and refused to fix it when I kept asking him what was happening. He told me to buy my own transmission mount. He then drove me to the bank, and made me pay him cash after refusing a credit card.

My hood also had a huge dent in it from the inside where they hit it with the engine as they left my hood on the whole time. He said he would have "his friend down the street fix it." They scratched a beautiful front chrome bumper, and the paint in a few spots on top where they threw their tools on the car

After getting home, and looking the car over I found out it was leaking oil in Two Cylinders, and fouling out the spark plugs. I filed complaints with the BBB, and Dept. of Consumer Affairs Bureau of Automotive Repair, and my Insurance Company who resolved my problems.

This was an expensive nightmare.

Avoid this place at all cost...!

This Place is a ZERO...!

Larry's has done many engines for me. From Blown BB to a 383 stroker for a dragster that ran 8 seconds flat. Jimmy (son of Larry) has always gave me the best customer service and advise. We just did a 5.0 motor for my sons mustang. We had an issue with the cam and I could not get the car to run without popping etc. Called Jimmy and he had me bring him the entire car. He & his crew disassembled and diagnosed each part. It was determined that the cam provided improperly ground. Jimmy replaced and reassembled the car to turn key with no cost to me what so ever. Hard to find a shop with this quality in todays world. Thanks to Jimmy & crew.

DO NOT BRING YOUR ENGINE HERE. He messed it up so bad. No thread on intake/exhaust screw holes, no silicone/sealant on midpan, no thread on spark plug holes, and low compression in two cylinders. A clown could do a better job, I've been fighting it but they are just so shady with their warranty and their business that all I can do is leave this review in which I hope other people see. He made a living hell out of my life for a good few months, I really hope it comes back around.

This place is no good, I bought a 350 from these guys and a push rod broke. I've read a lot of complains about this place and they match my problems. There're no good!

I HAVE PURCHASED SEVERAL ENGINES FROM JIM AND THEY ARE NOT ON TIME ALWAYS BUT LET ME TELL YOU THE QUALITY AND POWER OF THE ENGINE MAKES OUT FOR A FEW DAYS BEING LATE REMEMBER EVERONE IS HUMAN AND CAN MAKE MISTAKES.
