Rockin Baja

I've been to the Rockin Baja in San Diego (Gas Lamp district) several times and searched for a place closer to Glendale, CA. I found it. Rockin Baja in MontClair is closer and I've been to it twice. The food is great (try the Rockin Baja Originial Bucket - a little of everything - and the deep fried Ice Cream) and the service was perfect. The second time I was there with a party of 15 and we got special service (they even helped serve a birthday cake we brought with us).

Great casual restaurant! Good value for seafood fares and totally unique Puerto Nuevo Style cooking. I used to drive several hours south of the border to get this food past Rosarita Beach now it is available in the Inland Empire. Allan Borgen (IE top food critic) gives it a 4.5 stars out of 5.

Fun casual atmosphere and great music (thus "Rockin'")! Shrimp & bacon tacos are out of this world - Chicken Taquitos were another fav! Oh, and did I mention the mmmargaritas?

We have been here twice, and they're never very busy, which might be due to their location (very hidden) or because their food is just so-so. Hubby has had the ribs though, and they were very good. On our last visit, I got a steak, which they comped off, because it was so fatty.
