Bought a pool @ The Pool Store over 10 years ago. Ask to have the skimmer replaced and a hose. Figured while they were here they could help me open it. The men fixed the skimmer replaced the one hose. Helped remove the cover, and install the ladder. In the mean time while the pool was filling, two hoses were installed Incorrectly. They left before checking for leaks or to see if everything was ok. When the pool was finally filled,I personally tested it. The hoses were backwards! Fortunately I had the know how and parts to fix the problem. I had called the store to tell them the problem, and I got a bill anyway for the opening the pool ! I went to settle the bill and explain what happen. I was told they can't be there all day to wait for the pool to fill up. No chemicals were put in the pool but was charge for something to clean a winter cover? If I was to do this over The Pool Store would be my last choice! $ 380.00 later
Have been dealing with The Pool Store for over 27 years now and wouldn't go anywhere else. Jan, her husband Fred, her dad Dick and her mom, Fran, before she passed away. Sometimes you have to wait a while for someone to get back to you, but they always do. It's because they are so busy even with extra help during the swim season. I guess it's like when you go out to eat, if you want good food do you go to the place with people waiting to get in or to the one across the street that looks deserted. We have told friends about this place and even had ones who live past the airport go there because they are so knowledgeable and friendly.
After attempting to return Shopkins Limited Edition Gemma Stone dolls we were advised that the elderly woman working at the customer service desk did not believe the dolls were authentic (news flash grams they're Walmart Exclusive as the front of the package stated!), a second issue, I called to ask if the new Monster High Minis (blue coffin lockers) were available for sell yet, the woman in the toy department answered as lazily as could be with a sigh "I wouldn't have any idea" I then proceeded to politely ask her if she could please check and I would remain on hold, her reply again lazily "I could I guess...but I really don't want to", oh really, okay. I hung up and called back asking to speak to a manager or supervisor, after repeating everything in the same exact expression as the worker he replied and apologized several times but in all honestly people whom have a job in today's day and age should remember one thing, there are others whom would love to find employment but are having a difficult time doing so, you're paid for your work performance not your attitude, earn your pay or let someone else have your job!
I've had great dealings with people I love when people try to smash businesses with bad reviews even though that they never owned one. They don't have clue. Anyways these people are very helpful and knowledgeable and good. I have a large landscaping business and it makes me mad after reading that negative review . Get a clue your not there only customer and they have a A plus rating like my self with the BBB there good AND BUSY!
Within the last few years I have spent over 10k at this business (new liner /pool heater/etc.) ordered the liner in June, was not finished until middle of August. Installers forgot to cut out one of the jet holes. As a result, I believe it was the reason my underground lines blew out, the owner said no it was because the lines were old. Yeah right. Everytime I have had problems with their products, I have had to wait weeks to just get someone to come look at the problem. I have now been waiting 3 days to get a callback on a broken pipe in the new water heater. I cannot run the filter, the pool is getting worse by the day as I wait for some kind of response from them. My advice for anyone thinking about calling these people, don't, keep looking for someone who will value you as a customer.
