Mosaic Salon

I recently moved to Modesto about 5 months ago. I was very concerned about finding the right salon to cut my hair. so I googled the "best hair salons in Modesto" and Mosaic was one of the top 5. I was very pleased with my visit,I made a call got a same day appointment,and will be returning for many more future visits.I also wanted to mention that it is WAY more than just a salon they provide many other services,they are friendly and very professional. I plan on many more future visits with a list of recommendations for all my new friends. I highly recommend this Salon

This is by far the BEST salon I have ever been to. I ALWAYS feel so welcomed when I come here. The staff are so nice and friendly. Sylvia is such a sweetheart and I usually get my hair done by her. The last time I came in, I didn't have an appointment because it was last minute, but it was really important to get my hair done because my best friend was getting married the next day. Anyway, they squeezed me in, no problem! And I brought my 4 year old son with me and they cut his hair also and kept him busy while I was getting my hair done. They were just so sweet! I will ALWAYS come here and tell as many people as I know about this place. Love you guys.

One of the best salon's i've ever been too! Very high class enviroment, if I had one word to say about the looks of the salon would be STUNNING!!! Besides that the customer service is great, and so is the haircut. What more can you ask for? Thank you Mosiac salon :)

I had made an appointment for a waxing at 9:30am. I arrived about 9:20am. There were 2 employees there, one putting make-up on the other drinking coffee. I was not greeted or even acknowledged. I made a throat noise and they just stared. I mean, really. I said I had an appointment. They looked at me like I had 2 heads. Well, I sat down and waited and waited. I was not offered any beverage or even spoken to. At 9:45am I made another throat noise and asked if I was going to be assisted. They checked and said my operator was late and should be there shortly. I was getting mad, I said that was no way to run a business and treat a first time customer. Then they offered to wax me, but then they discovered the wax pot was not even turned on. They did not offer me any compensation or explanation. I will never, ever return or recommend this salon.

Its so nice to walk into a Salon where the staff goes out of there way to make sure you are taken care of! Thank you guys for everything!

The salon is very nice. Teddi did my hair and it looked great. I will be having Teddi do my hair again and would recommend this salon to others.

If there was a negative star option, that is what I would give this pathetic excuse for a business. I was shocked that they had such a high rating on here, but I realized why... On the back of the business cards they have at the reception desk, they offer 10% off your next service if you visit yellowpages.com and make a favorable review.

When my girlfriend and I arrived on time for our appointments Sylvia, the owner, approached the reception area and stated, how can I help you. I told her I have an appointment at noon with Crystal, she looked at me with a death stare and said I'm on the phone. How was I to know that she was on blue tooth, which was covered by her hair. It was then I had a feeling that things weren't going to go well. After she finished the call, she addressed me and again I told her I have an appointment with Crystal at noon, she simply stated, have a seat, turned and walked back to her client. So I sat and waited... and waited, until 12:20, when I inquired if Crystal was even in the salon, only to learn she was in fact not there. Sylvia proceeded to tell me Crystal is never late, to which I replied, well she's late today. Sylvia asked if I had her number and I advised her I did not, she said she would get it for me so I could call her. 5 minutes later she brings her phone over with Crystals number displayed and explains, she needs me to call because this is her business line and she doesn't want to tie it up making calls. I call Crystal who doesn't answer and I leave a message. Needless to say at this point I realized my 45 minute drive was for nothing and we left. Crystal called back 30 minutes later apologizing saying she had an emergency and someone was in the hospital, asking what she could do to make up for this problem. She offers free color, product, anything... My girlfriend takes her up on the offer of free color and reschedules for two days later. Crystal calls the next day and leaves a message canceling the appointment saying, she's on bed rest, doctors orders. What a joke of an excuse Sylvia is for a business owner, the lack of customer service this woman has is appalling. And as for Crystal, what's up with her story of someone's in the hospital changing to she's on bed rest? Who knows, but what I do know if you should not waste your time with this salon or these unprofessional women. I suppose the good that came out of this is, I didn't get my hair butchered by Crystal.

It was a nice atmosphere. Staff was pleasant. Prices are reasonable, but still not worth it. I could have gotten the same haircut for half the price somewhere else. I wanted a new look, and for the stylist to use her imagination....but she basically gave me a haircut with all the details that I told her NOT to do. It was basically the opposite cut of what I wanted...I didn't know how bad it was until I got home. it was a decent cut...just not my style. I probably won't return.

The Mosaic Salon is antique looking and has a unique atmosphere. The people there are friendly and they squeezed me in for a hair cut, even when I didn't have an appointment. I would definitely recommend going to this salon if you want a nice trim that you will be satisfied with. It is also pretty inexpensive too, which is good for the way our economy is now.

Mosaic is amazing. When I first decided to find a new salon I searched google for a good one. When I found this place and read other reviews about it I decided to give it a try and I am so glad that I did. It's been my go-to salon for 2 years now and the quality of the cut is great! The prices are reasonable too (and trust me, I live on a college student's budget) Vanessa (my stylist) is friendly, skilled and she's really patient with me no matter how unsure I am of what I want. I would recommend this place every time.

Mediocre haircut. Stylist cut my hair dry and did not shampoo. Very distracted and on the phone a lot. Salon is attractive but because of the quality of the haircut I would not recommend.

First time to a new hair salon in a long time. Sylvia was great at explaining what she recommended each step of the way....also very patient and kind. I plan on going back to Sylvia, she did an amazing job cutting and styling my hair. I highly recommend Mosaic Salon and Sylvia to anyone looking for a new sylist.

I loved this place!! It is beautiful inside. The people were great, I got offered a drink and magazines. People were friendly and helpful, beacsue I wasn't sure of exactly what I wanted to do with my hair. I loved how it turned out. Silvia did my aunt and cousins hair, She was amazing, and extremely helpful. I am definetley going there again!
