Root Canal Treatment
A tooth would require a crown for several reasons. The first is decay that is extensive or inaccessible to filling materials. Another reason is a broken cusp of a tooth. Another common indication for a crown is a cracked tooth—a tooth that may not be broken but flexes when a patient bites on it causing a pain response. Oftentimes, patients wait too long and crack the tooth into the nerve chamber located in the tooth's hollow center and require a procedure called a root canal in addition to a crown. Discolored teeth or teeth that have been treated by a root canal also should have a crown placed for aesthetics and protection.

Mini implants are placed in the jaw, where they are anchored firmly in the surrounding bone. Attachments are placed in the underside of the denture that connect to the implants. When placed in the mouth, the denture snaps onto the implants, keeping it stable and secure.

At work, I spend my days providing preventive cleanings and periodontal therapy, which includes periodontal evaluations and extra/intraoral examination along with thoroughly examining for any necessary treatments needed. I also evaluate malocclusion and airway access. I take diagnostic radiographs, intraoral photos, and impressions. I also administer Zoom in-office whitening treatments. Patient education is my main focus - educating patients on the benefits of oral health and how to achieve it. You also may find me wherever I'm needed, whether it's assisting chairside or answering the phone and scheduling appointments.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Dr. Perry moved back to his hometown and joined the practice of Dr. Harry Coker in 1997, giving him an opportunity to learn under one of the most renowned clinicians in the state and establish his knowledge base in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Under the guidance of Dr. Coker, Dr. Perry was able to practice and perform extensive restorative procedures early in his career. His mentor's guidance also enabled Dr. Perry to obtain the finest continuing education available during his formative years. Dr. Perry completed courses under Dr. Pete Dawson, Dr. Frank Spear, and The Pankey Institute, to name a few.
