I have been using Paul's for my auto repairs for more than a decade. They have always been very professional, courteous, and reasonably priced. They are an honest business; they never "add on" repairs. Repairs are done very quickly; I have never had to wait for parts. A+ in my book!
We have taken several cars to Pauls for many years. Prior to the last 2 experiences I would have rated them 5 stars. Due to those experiences I waited on giving a poor review but have decided I need to express my frustrations. 6 months ago I took my car due to it vibrating. They said it was the motor mounts. After several times of taking it and a lot of money it still vibrated. Took it back in. Still vibrated. Didn’t take back again because felt a waste of time. Now when I am stopped at a light I put in neutral to stop vibration. Thought maybe isolated event. My husbands vehicle leaking oil. They said 4 leaks. Kept a week and when got it back it still leaked same amount. They said a 5th leak, kept another week and cost another $100. Really?!? We will no longer take our vehicles to Pauls. We had always trusted them and knew where we needed to go to have our cars fixed. I used to tell everyone how wonderful they are but no longer recommend them.
Biggest ripoff in town! Keep my truck for two days to change a master cylinder on a 98 z71. 280.00 later same problem, ended up being wheel cylinders that I replaced. Said had to find master cylinder out of town , which was in walking distance to Oreillys , which has the part at 1/2 the price Paul's charged me . Ripoff ! Wouldn't take a bicycle back to them .
Very dissapointed...They lied from the begginning, they were all nice when i left my vehicle to be diagnosed, then they called with an outrageous price to fix my heater(700$)..So i came to get my vehicle, they were rude and unprofessional.. I went across the road to A-1 and they fixed it for 130$...There prices are very high and they seem to be $Hungry..Just a heads up people..I would not reccomend them to anyone...
My car has been at the shop for 9 days. It is not operable at this point. There has to be a master excuse book for not having the part or not having the mechanics. My car was promised ready today ( well actually it was promised 3 days ago) and the excuse is that the mechanic called in sick and my parts are locked in his tool box. Who has ever heard that one before? And no, he didn't call me. My husband called the shop. I am beyond words at this point. I fear the repair will be as awful as the service. How are they in business?

We broke down last Friday, 8-4-11, in Semmes, Alabama driving from California to Florida, and were towed to Paul's. The fuel pump went out. bad gas or bad timing?? anyway, Paul's had us out the door on a Friday afternoon in 5 hours. very thankful. nice waiting room. very nice people. only contact with this Shop but very thankful of their work and expertise. I highly recommend them and would trust them completely with my automotive needs. Thanks Paul and the Gang. you did us right!!!

Paul's prices are great. No doubt about that. I can say that. Much better than Hillcrest Automotive which is outrageous and I'm not sure how they stay in business. But Paul's auto work is hit or miss. I took my car in for a noise in the steering, they tested it and said it needed another part (Hillcrest said it needed a new hose) Paul's charged me less for the entire part than Hillcrest did for the hose alone, but the problem continued. Took my car to the dealership and they said I needed a hose (dealership was still cheaper than Hillcrest) and Paul's refunded my money for the part after I brought it back from the dealership. I think Paul's is fair, they just aren't as knowledgeable or as good at diagnostics as other mechanic shops.

If you need your car fixed, don't go to Paul's. Constant excuses of being short handed will keep your vehicle tied up for an extended period of time. Calling three times in one day won't get you anywhere either; because they still have not looked at your vehicle. I took my truck in and had a power relay replaced because the vehicle did not start. I paid for the diognostic testing, a towing fee, parts and labor. When I picked my truck up, the check engine light would come on and my truck would not accelerate passed 15mph. When I took it back they told me they'd have time to look at it Wednesday. Wednesday came and passed and when I called them, because they never called me, they told me it wasn't overheating and it was fine. Overheating wasn't ever an issue!!! Then they said they would ""try"" to look at it Thursday afternoon and that the power relay had nothing to do with the new problem. But I questioned that being as it ran just fine before they put the power relay in. After getting the run around, I took my truck out of their shop and took it to a new mechanic. After researching the problem myself online and with mechanic friends, I was urged to take my vehicle to a different mechanic.

I've had 3 different cars (foreign and domestic) over the past 10 years worked on by Paul's Automotive. I've always received excellent personal service and at a price I could only beat if I did the job myself. Diagnostics were always ""spot on"" and they DON'T try to add on unnecessary services or repairs. I will be returning to this auto shop when my car gets sick again.
