MRI
MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) is an imaging tool doctors use to look for and diagnose injuries that can’t otherwise be detected through X-ray. Doctors usually recommend an MRI scan for patients to look for joint degeneration, tumors, fractures, and other musculoskeletal damage or disease. MRI scans are performed at our Airport Boulevard location in Mobile County and our Fairhope location in Baldwin County.
Radiology
A digital X-ray (digital radiology) is a form of imaging where digital X-ray sensors are used in place of traditional photographic film. Digital X-ray is used to diagnose conditions by taking pictures of the inside of the body. Digital X-ray is available at our Airport Boulevard, Springhill Avenue, Fairhope, Foley, and Saraland locations.

Computed Tomography
A computed tomography (CT) scan, also known as CAT scan, produces images that are similar in detail and in quality to an MRI. However, the CT scan takes a 360-degree picture of internal organs and the spine and vertebrae. CT scans provide cross-sectional views of the body and provide clearer imaging than an MRI.

General Surgery
Physician assistants provide a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services, which have traditionally been performed by doctors. PAs are trained to conduct physical examinations, diagnose illnesses, order and interpret X-rays and laboratory studies, write prescriptions, develop treatment plans, and instruct and counsel patients. They also treat injuries by suturing, splinting, and casting. Additionally, PAs may assist in surgery. These providers may see patients independently and/or directly with a doctor.
Orthopedics
Orthopaedics (alternatively, orthopedics) is a medical specialty focused on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions, disorders, and injuries of the muscles, bones, joints, tendons, ligaments, and nerves. Physical Therapists

Sports Medicine
Our Sports Medicine specialists will be available to consult athletes regarding injuries without an appointment. Our goal is to help athletes get back in the game faster by receiving immediate medical care shortly after an injury occurs. The clinic is open every Saturday, 8 am – 10 am, starting at the beginning of the high school football season and through the beginning of November at our Airport BLVD location (6144 Airport Blvd, Mobile, AL 36608.)
Physical Therapy
Heat is used to increase blood flow, which helps promote pain relief after inflammation and swelling subside. Heat is also used to assist in warming muscles up prior to exercise, any physical activity, or physical therapy.
Occupational Therapy
At The Orthopaedic Group, P.C., our skilled occupational therapists are dedicated to helping patients return to their daily activities of living and/or working. Occupational therapy is offered at our Airport Boulevard location in Mobile.
