Worse staff ever. seen the doctor on Monday. The doctor said I needed back ex-rays and physical therapy. And she would tell the nurse I wanted providence for the ex-rays and the physical theory. I asked for a referral to providence hospital. The nurse said she would call when she set up the appointment. I had to call Wednesday because she didn't call me.They gave me a appointment for M.L.K Franklin clinic office. I called back and reminded them I wanted to go to providence. Each time I called they made me talk to the downtown office. And each time they tried to force me to use Franklin clinic for the ex-rays even though my insurance covered providence.Clearly more concerned about getting my money and not concerned about whats convenient for me. You cant get a number for the university location. They made me go back to Franklin clinic on Thursday to get the order-paperwork for providence hospital. I went to providence Friday morning and after sitting there most the day. ,I Gave them the paperwork and providence could not give me the ex-rays because the paperwork from Franklin was not signed by the doctor, something the Franklin staff clearly wasn't trained or educated enough to know!!! Providence sat there for several hours trying to get some one on the phone to fax them A sighed copy and once again the clinic tried to get me to the M.L.K location. So a week later and still no ex-rays or physical therapy. they are incompetent even the nurses at providence said they are a joke. Don't put your life at risk going there. There just crooks and liars

Even though my insurance covered the initial visit, they charge you to come and see the doctor and find out your results from the lab. No doctor does that. They mislead you.
1. Driving up to this hospital my first impression was not good. The hospital shows its age and could definitely use a face lift. My first impression continues once inside. The admitting department was not private. I could hear every detail of the individuals on my left and my right....as well as they could hear mine. I could hear addresses, phone numbers, medical information, reason for admission AND their Social Security Numbers. Trying to speak quietly so that others could not hear my information was a complete waist of time. The admitting clerk would repeat back what I said in a loud manner. Saying something did not make a difference. 2. What I received to eat should not be classified as food. It was bland, no taste, no seasoning what so ever (I was on a regular diet and could eat anything). After not having eaten all day my nurse ordered me a cheeseburger and a patient menu that I could order what I wanted to eat each meal. I thought finally some food. Ha, ha, ha I put my order in for all 3 meals for the next day. Starting with breakfast it's not what I ordered, lunch same thing, and you guested it not for supper either. 3. The room was large enough but it was laid out strangely. It was in desperate need of a makeover. It needed new paint, the wallpaper was peeling off in several places and the worst thing was my tablet and/or my laptop were larger than the TV set which was hanging from the ceiling across the room.4. The neighborhood was more rundown than the hospital. It looked so bad that I forbid my sister-in-law, aunt and mother to visit me while I was there. 5. The one bright spot was the nursing staff. Each day that I was there the nurses on all 3 shifts were outstanding. Other than the food thing these nurses met all my expectations, my needs and they did this with a genuine smile and attitude. My stay in this run down hospital was tolerable due to the staff. Other than the nurses there was another employee who was responsible for placing and keeping the electrical wires on my head. She too did her job with a smile and a pleasant attitude.
I've been in a severe car accident and have been sitting in the ER for over 5 hours and have still not been seen. Drive somewhere else. Especially if it's an emergency. The staff here is unfriendly, unpersonable and will not do much to even try to make you feel comfortable
Had to go in 3 times just to get an examination, a cleaning, and a cavity filled. Thus paying three co-pays. On two of those visits, the dentist chair had not been wiped down and had visible hair grease on the head rest and filth on the arm rests. When I asked that it be wiped, the woman was rude and lied and said it had been. Yet after she 're-wiped' it, the filth disappeared. Also, the woman who was supposed to take x-rays did not and told the dentist she had. The dentist looked at old x-rays from the year before. When I said I had not been x-ray'd, they again became very defensive. I'm 35 and KNOW when I've been x-ray'd. DON'T GO HERE, EVEN IF YOU DON'T HAVE INSURANCE. You will pay just as much as you would to go to a private dentist because you will have to return so many times and you will get sanitary, complete, and friendly service.
