I hired Bill & Chris to fabricate a metal arch and bimini for my boat. I provided photographs, drawings & specs. They said it would take 2-3 weeks. They strung me along for 6. They damaged my boat, hurled expletives at me, & refused to refund my money, despite never delivering a final product.Under NO circumstances would I ever recommend doing business with Bill's Canvas Shop or Bodan's Marine Fabrication. They disappeared for weeks at a time. They did poor quality work & made up excuse after excuse for not showing up.When they did show up, they had no professional courtesy or manners. They jumped onto my boat unannounced, tracked mud & dirt everywhere, started hammering & drilling holes without any preparation or caution to ensure my boat wasn’t damaged. They used deceptive advertising to sell their services. They claimed they did work on other boats that was not done by them to imply they were more capable than they were. They were misleading in their timeline for delivery. They took advantage of me as a transient boater -- knowing I would not be able to stay at the marina for very long. They lied about the work they had finished at various stages of the project to lead me to believe that they would still be able to deliver on time. After 3 failed attempts at fitting their "handiwork" to my boat, after scratching the gelcoat & varnish from repeatedly hammering on, pulling, & pushing raw, cut, unfinished metal laid bare against the hull, they still couldn't figure out how to do the work they claimed to be experts at.The metalwork was still so poorly constructed that despite using a hydraulic press, ratchet straps, four men, hammers, & a cutoff wheel they could not get the metal work to fit onto the boat. All of the contorting they'd done to get it to fit it built up such immense pressure that they ripped the single mounting bolt they were able to get into the deck right up through the fiberglass. These con-artists are to be avoided at all cost.
