I'm reading these old reviews and my mouth has dropped. I got mines sometime in 2006 and boy was I happy! I recently checked their site and see it's no longer accredited. I had a friend a few years ago try and learned the same...so guess she wasn't lying. I was bullied badly in middle school and was called names from weird, oreo, had trash thrown on me by my own people...so finally made it to highschool and suffered strong panic attacks, scared of other teens thinking they would attack me, I couldn't eat at school...I dropped out. I couldn't handle it. Never had prom nothing. I worked and finally found this program. Before I thought I would be a bagger forever. When I got it ....seemed everything would be ok. I immediately enrolled in college. I remember feeling like somebody for the first time in my life. In grade school teachers didn't protect me and school counselors assumed I was the problem....feel myself about to cry I try to forget the past. Once in college it was so unreal and people were different and nicer....anyway I struggled in many of my college classes due to the lack of early education and more on just surviving. I guess because I took some classes once this program lost its rights...I and many others were ok. I went to school on and off for some years, but finally for the first time I'm about to get my first college degree and due to that just having a degree this now unaccredited diploma can be trashed, but I'm going to save it to remember my past.
This would be 5 star review, but due to the many others who joined this program later and won't get the joys and pleasure of being in a cap and gown like I will soon, I will rate it a little lower. Sorry to the others who spent hundreds on a now lie. I do know how it feels to be let down many of times. Please don't give up. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.....God bless.

RUN!!!!!!! I "graduated" from this joke place in 2004 and just now have decided to get my degree at the state college in my hometown. NOT ACCREDITED, they NEVER WERE!! People on here are either employees of this POS place or family/friends of employees because I did get my "diploma" from this place before they so-called "lost their accreditation" and still couldn't get a college to accept my "transcripts" (which are a typed up Word document?! Official? Wtf?!). I'm now having to take my GED exam TWELVE YEARS LATER to get into college. I was young and trying to do the right thing when my circumstances caused me to leave the traditional school setting when I came across this racket scam. I threw that $300 piece of paper in the trash and I'm scheduled to take the GED test next week so I can move on and better myself. Double middle finger to you, Continental Academy. Stop preying on people with your charlatan tactics and snake oil BS "diploma"!!!

NOT A SCAM, BUT THEY LOST THEIR ACCREDITATION.I graduated from this school in 2003, went to college and earned my Associate in business with no problems with accreditation. Ashly M, the school isn't a scam, I heard they lost their accreditation in 2007. I know this, because when I went back to college recently for further education, a recruiter brought it up to me. They said that it would have been a problem for me to get into college with my diploma if I hadn't already graduated prior to the 2007 loss of accreditation. So, bottom line: before you attend (as with any school), be sure they're accredited and aren't about to lose it before you graduate. I rate them 3 stars for losing it, but it was a 5 star experience when I attended.

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM

I paid $500 to get the four year program completed so I can get my diploma as opposed to a GED and graduate. I graduated in 2011 and it wasn't until this year January 2015 that I finally decided to get enrolled in collegethat I found out my diploma was worth nothing! There school is not accredited through the US Department of Education and that's the main accreditation you need for it to be a real graduation certificate.I have gone through extensive research to get to the bottom of this, I have filed a case with the Better Business Bureau, the attorney general's office, and I have also called the school itself to speak with the guidance office and the principal. I have gotten responses from the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney Generals office but when it comes to getting a response from the school itself, they dance around accreditation credentials and try to talk you into getting you to buy your transcripts for your college to make it seem like that's what you did wrong...... Only ending up giving them more money to find out the transcripts are only pieces of paper got the college is still going to reject because it does not prove anything except that the school is still not accredited by the US Department of education. I have even tried contacting the principal Mr Lopez and have had no response from him, and this is after a week of continuous phone calls. Take my advice before you have to find out the hard way like I am doing right now, go online and look up Penn Foster or a couple other sites if you are really interested and getting your diploma vs a GED otherwise go to your local GED testing place and get certification there...otherwise you'll end up spending money on a piece of paper that won't do you anything except a long stretched out headache and having to complete another 4 years of high school again. Thanks for ruining my life continental Academy
