Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Oral Surgery
Sedation comes in different levels. This starts with our staff guiding you through the sedation options that are best for your child’s specific needs. At its mildest, your child will be awake for the procedure, but will be relaxed enough to stay still throughout treatment. This is often referred to as laughing gas. For longer or more complex procedures, like oral surgery or treatment for dental infection, we can administer sedation that will allow children to sleep through the whole thing, pain free, while we monitor their vitals!

She moved to Hampton, VA and received her Masters of Science in Medical Science at Hampton University. One year later she matriculated into the School of Dentistry at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN and earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery. Dr. Callaway returned back to North Carolina and received her certificate of completion for the post-graduate training in Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency program at East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Callaway worked as a General Dentist for 2 years prior to completing her post-graduate specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in Bronx, New York. She is a board-certified Pediatric Dentist.
