If I were to tell my best friend about this place (and I do) I would say this: Be very careful to place yourself on the correct unit. I was mistakenly alligned to an eating disorder clinic when my first psychotic break hit me full tilt at the age of twentyone. I found the staff unprofessional and they communicated quite poorly. The dynamic of tension that exists between the day staff and the night staff is unmistakable and harsh. The treatment model claims to be family based but in actuality the administration is the antithisis of that. My first doctor Some are just unment to couple. What I found here is the psychatrists are to be high and lostful for power which I now understand to be endemic of the minneapolis county case management. One particularly absurd and agressive woman who was an aide at the time saw fit to punish my fearful curriosity with six hours of sustained forcible medication and isolation while my mind realed and rejected drug after drug. I was a willing participant in the now famed and disputed GEODON study under the green team and believe myself to have recieved by med error the maximum studied dossage of that group.
