Wonderful cat clinic and vets!
I have had multiple cats through this clinic over the years. They are extremely caring and professional. Their pricing is reasonable as well. Since they specialize in cats only, they are experts at handling and treating cats!

This vet rocks!!

My dad and I have been coming here for a couple years. Between us we each have a cat, who have each had a different health problem. They have basically saved each cat's life twice!! I would recommend this vet over any in the twin cities! They are caring, honest, and just really nice! They will always be #1 in our book!!

EXCELLENT!!!!!

THEY LOVE CATS!

DR. LOVAS IS VERY COMPETENT AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. THEY DON’T DO UNNECESSARY PROCEDURES. ASKED FOR QUOTE ON TEETH CLEANING SINCE OTHER VET TOLD ME IT WAS NEEDED. DR. LOVAS REMOVED TARTAR RIGHT IN THE OFFICE WITHOUT PUTTING OUR CAT THRU THE DISCOMFORT OF ANESTHESIA! IT TOOK HER SOME TIME TO GET ALL THE TARTAR BUT SHE DID IT. HER TECHS ARE ALSO EXCELLENT. CALLED A FEW MINUTES AGO AND JOANNA HELPED ME WITH DETAILED QUESTIONS OVER THE PHONE. PRICES ARE VERY REASONABLE. WE TOOK OUR OTHER CAT, CAIRO, THERE A FEW YEARS AGO AND ALTHOUGH WE HAD TO PUT HIM DOWN, THEY WERE COMPASSIONATE AND HELPED US THROUGH THIS DIFFICULT TIME. THEY ARE REALLY GREAT VETS! RECOMMEND THEM HIGHLY!!!!!!!

The best Cat Clinic around. Caring, knowledgeable Vets who charge much less than they could. They helped to keep my cat around for more than 20 years and even gave me advice over the phone. They are wonderful. They really love cats!

Awesome Cat Clinic

I love this clinic. The staff was so friendly and caring. I love that it is only a cat clinic. It helps the cats relax more than if there were large or small dogs everywhere. The staff is so helpful with answering questions, and really know what is best for your cats. I wish I would have found this clinic sooner. If you are looking for a new cat clinic please give TLC Cat Clinic a try. You will not want to go anywhere else. Their prices are so reasonable. They are not there to empty your pocket book , they are their for the cats.

Best all-around, caring Vet experience I've ever had - 6/15/2011

I went to a great Vet for many years. Unfortunately, their prices are too high. I'm currently unemployed & when my cat had a health issue, I took her to see Dr Kathy Lovaas at TLC. It's much closer to me & they specialize only in cats. But mainly, the cost was less than half what I would have spent at my prior Vet. I found Dr Lovaas & the rest of the staff to be very caring, gentle, and thorough during the exam and consultations.I was able to afford an X-Ray, showing my cat had a very enlarged heart that would eventually end her life. Unable to afford further, expensive diagnostics, she was put on an inexpensive medication. After the initial month went well, I picked up another 3 months of pills.Sadly, 6-13-11, my Mysti's heart finally gave out. I brought her to the clinic and saw Dr Lovaas. Again, she was extremely caring & understanding. Like with my previous cats, I wanted to have Mysti cremated. Again, the price was way lower at TLC. I also got credit returning unused pills.

Best experience ever

I went to another vet for 15 years and for routine shots. But then my cat started to have kidney and thyroid issues and I knew I needed to find a vet that was caring and gentle with my cat, me and my pocket book. I called TLC Clinic trying to locate something to help my constipated cat. Kathy, one of the veterinarians there made suggestions and was so helpful. I decided to take my cat in for an exam. All blood/urine draws were done in front of me and not in a back room. She didn't shave her neck to do them either. She showed me better ways to administer fluids and didn't charge me extra to do so. The office is bright, clean and cheery with a special cat 'lounge'. They are thorough, efficient, gentle and very reasonably priced. You will not be disappointed here.

Highly Recommend TLC!

Very highly recommend. Very affordable and I never feel pressured to give our cat unnecessary treatments. The caregivers make our cat feel like he is their #1 favorite cat in the world every time we visit. :)

90% Excellent

Only one time I've been disappointed: we brought a new young cat from the Humane Society there for the initial free check-up paid for by the Humane Society. He had only been with us a couple of days and had been dropped off in the night drop at the HS. He was hyper and terrified and, like any cat, expressed that clearly by hissing and snapping at the vet. The vet told me I should bring him back to the HS and that many people would euthanize such a cat, running her finger across her throat! Well, that cat has turned into the sweetest, most loving cats we've ever had. All he needed was love and to be able to trust people again. Other than that, they are actually very good vets - no other problems at all.

Excellent Geriatric Care

My cat (named Mouse because of her size as a kitten) lived to be over 19 years old. I was referred to TLC by my sister-in-law, and took Mouse to them for the last 7 years of her life. They supported Mouse through the onset of arthritis, slight hearing and sight loss, tooth extraction, and near the end, mild seizures. They were all very caring and supportive of a nervous and grieving kitty momma, and a very frail but dignified and placid old lady cat. In the end, when Mouse was in pain that changed her behavior and her temperament, the staff and vets grieved with us, and gently guided us to the decision to euthanize. I was allowed to hold my longest and best companion, and she passed away peacefully in my arms. There are no other words to express my respect and admiration for, and trust in, all the staff at TLC.

They love cats!

We have moved frequently and our two kitties are 10 years old and have therefore seen numerous vets. This clinic is the BEST. They are compasionate and it is clear they love cats. Gentle yet extremely knowledgeable and professional. When I call they listen and answer all my questions. The entire staff is great. I found them by just surfting the internet and are so happy I did. The prices for their services are very reasonable. I would highly recommend TLC Cat Clinic to anyone who cares about their kitties!

Great place!

I get a recommendation from a coworker when I moved to Minnesota. Dr. Lovaas was great. She helped fix health and behavior problems my cat had that no other vet even said could be addressed. I realize how "fast food" other vets have been. They are really caring and serious experts with cats. They are extremely affordable and I always feel like I'm not paying enough for the great vets they are. They always encourage you to call for anything and when you do they are extremely helpful. I will always take my cat here.

Love these ladies

When I first moved to Minnesota my cat developed struvite crystals. I had not yet found a new veterinarian. I took him to one vet who prescribed him new food and antibiotics. When I called the next day to ask some follow up questions they told me I should hospitalize him. Being a poor retail employee I called TLC Cat Clinic (in tears) for a second opinion. They reassured me that from what I was saying he sounded like he was doing fine, just uncomfortable, and what I should look out for to know when to bring him in if I needed to. They gave me great advice on a few tricks to make sure he was staying hydrated. When it was time for his follow up, I brought him to TLC and they have been his clinic ever since. I have called them in other minor panics since then and they have always been calm, reassuring and amazing. I cannot say enough good things about them other than that their fees are also really really reasonable.

HORRIABLE!!!

My cat was spayed at 6 months old by the TLC Cat clinic in plymouth. TLC cat clinic said my cat had a birth defect where they couldn't find her left ovary or urtrine horn so there was still a chance she'd go into heat. Sure enough every 2 months my cat was in heat. 1 1/2 years later I Brought her to Monticell-Big Lake Pet hospital and took my chances with them performing a exploratory surgery on her and they found the WHOLE urtrine horn AND the left ovary!!! Plus I was told by TLC cat clinic I would have to bring her to the U of M to have this surgery done and it would cost at least $700. Monticello - Big Lake Pet Hospital charged me $250! Thank you Monticello-Big Lake Pet Hospital!!!!!

Terrific!

The doctors and staff are so compassionate about cats! They took the time to answer my questions, and made sure I was well-informed before I left. They are also affordable compared to other vets in the area. Great experience, will definitely come back!

The Vet that Saved Christmas!

The Vet in Brooklyn Park quoted $650 to pull my Cindy cat's canine tooth. I called another who quoted the same price. I called TLC Cat Clinic and took her in for an exam and follow up tooth extraction. It only cost $35 for the exam and $140 for the tooth extraction. I was able to buy my family Christmas presents and take care of our precious Cindy's tooth. Kathy at TLC was so caring and nice. She called me as soon as it was over to let me know how it went. TLC Cat Clinic truly loves cats and their owners, and not for what they can soak cat owners for. You will never find a more honest caring vet for your kitty! They truly are the Vet that saved our Christmas.
