Richfield Transmission Center

Chuck is a rip off liar. I dropped my truck off at Richfield transmission center for them to diagnos and fix a problem in my Transmission. When i dropped it off they quoted me 75 dollars for a diagnosis. Later that day they claimed if they reflashed or reprogramed my TCM The problem will or will not go away. They said it would cost 175 dollars to do that. I said OK. The next day Chuck calls me and tells me that he did NOT reflash or reprogram my computer. He goes on to say that I need an Internal transmission wiring harness and Valve body. He says he'll order the parts and get it done tomorrow. The next day I don't get a call. The day after I call Richfield Transmission center wondering whats going on. Chuck now says something else is wrong with my truck. And he did NOT install the parts he said he would. And he says that in order to properly diagnos the problem he had to bring my truck to another mechanic that worked for GM who had the proper diagnostic tools. At this point its obvious that Chuck is incompetent. I don't trust him to work on my truck anymore. I want it back. But now he claims he has 300 dollars worth of "work" into it and thats what he'll charge me to get it back. He didn't do ANY WORK. He didn't replace any parts. He didn't reprogram anything and he didn't fix any of my problems. All he did was a diagnosis that I was told was gonna cost me 75 DOLLARS but I got charged $278.25 for.
So if you want to bring your ride to a place where the dude is incompetent will hold on to your truck waste your time and charge you WAY TO FUCKING MUCH FOR NOTHING this is the place for you. Other wise this place sucks. I would give them negative 10 stars if that was an option.

Overpriced and rude

Major car repairs are seldom planned. Being without a vehicle is a major inconvenience especially when summer travel plans are interrupted. When my van was towed to their shop late Friday morning it seemed that our weekend plans to the lake would most likely not happen. They came through and completed the work before the end of the day. Our plans were still on. Although the cost of the repair was high, they exceeded my expectations. Their friendly staff, knowledge and professionalism were exceptional. They definitely have a very satisfied returning customer and I would recommend Richfield Transmission to all. Thanks again for taking care of my service needs in a very timely and professional manner.
