The Richfield Police Department provides professional law enforcement services to the citizens of the city of Richfield, Minn. It has a staff of more than 70 employees that include patrol, sworn peace, and school liaison and crime prevention officers. It offers various services, such as proactive police patrol, public education, traffic law enforcement, criminal investigations and response to emergency and non-emergency calls. The Department sponsors a safety camp for kids, an apartment managers association and an active police reserve program. It also supports a citizens police academy for adults. Additionally, the department operates crime prevention programs for residents and businesses and crime free multi-housing program for landlords and tenants.
