General Info
Amidst a bevy of mega-chain restaurants, Mort's Delicatessen is an original Jewish-inspired Deli just off of Highway 55 on Winnetka Avenue in Golden Valley. Family owned and operated, Mort's opened its doors in November of 2008 and provides Twin Cities locals with the opportunity to enjoy a traditional deli experience. From the familiar to the adventurous, Mort's ever-evolving menu provides a solution to every patron's hunger problem. The sizable portions carried out on each plate will present a challenge to even the most ravenous customer. Fresh items are added to incorporate homemade favorites on a seasonal basis. These unique recipes are chosen with precision and care to evoke the most pleasant nostalgia. Mort's now offers beer and wine as well. Families will feel right at home as they catch up, revisit old memories and create new ones over a secret recipe from the Mort's family arsenal. More information is available at

Now that's a tasty burger. I've been here twice now- cute place, great staff, unbelievable burgers and excellent fresh made potato chips. There is a dining room as well as a pick-up deli counter. We've also stopped in a couple of times to buy ready-to-purchase bags of their amazing potato chips for parties. Generous portions on everything, they have tv's to occupy you during your wait for the food, they bring you pickles to eat, they have these huge delicious looking cakes in their display cases, and this place is just all around great.

Morts is the best deli I have eaten at

Morts is the best deli I have eaten at in the Twin Cities. Not cheap but very much worth the price. Corned beef, pastrami, and cheesecake. brought in fresh from New York City. The best matzo ball soup. I could go on and on!! All I can say is TRY IT, YOU'LL LOVE IT!!

Seriously does not get any better than this. We were stuffed full and had leftovers for the next day. Highly recommend the soups. The service and the food were amazing. We love Mort's!

My humble opinion best Jewish deli in

My humble opinion best Jewish deli in Minnesota. Yes, there is always something that we as amateur deli experts would change BUT over all they got it right - especially the corned beef on marble rye.

If you love an amazing reuben you have

If you love an amazing reuben you have THE place in the Twin Cities. This place is as authentic as it gets right down the adorable ""Grandma"" who greats you at the door with her thick NY accent. I made sure to sample a little of everything our group of 8 ordered and it was all FANTASTIC. My new favorite spot.

Highly recommend!

Who would think that Mort's Deli would have the best chicken wings in town. They do! I ate so many chicken wings that I had to bring most of my Reuben sandwich home but it was a wonderful leftover for me and my boyfriend. I want to try so many of the items that I will definatly be back for more. Highly recommend!

I about died of happy

I ate at Mort's last week with a friend. The service was good, the food was fab! We both had the Matzo ball soup--I about died of happy. It was a huge portion for the ""cup"" size serving, and very affordable. I'll definitely be back. :)

This place is fantastic!

This place is fantastic! A true Jewish deli! The matzo ball soup is fantastic as well as the Ruben and Rachel and roast beef sandwiches. Great food and service, nice place for lunch!
