Ice Dam Guys

Most severe winter in Idaho in 33 years. After noticing two ice dams on my roof, on a Sunday morning, I called the Ice Dam Guys and left a voice mail message. I received a prompt return phone call. Jay answered all of my questions and an appointment was set for Monday morning – super quick. The three man crew arrived on-time, explained the process, and promptly started removing the ice dams. I was impressed with the professionalism of the crew, and the speed at which they worked. The ice dams were removed within 45-minutes and the crew removed additional snow from the roof, keeping the entire job to the minimum of one hour. The employees are rugged individuals. The lead of the three man crew is a hunting guide and Iraq war veteran. The other two individuals are outdoorsman. It takes a special type of person do the demanding and dangerous job of accessing a snowy roof in the winter, and dealing with the elements. Jay did an exceptional job of following-up to verify if I was satisfied with the work and Jay has always been available to answer questions. The cost for the services was well worth the investment. The alternative was risking water penetrating into my house, and the hassle of remediation. Plus, the cost of removing the ice dams from my roof was lower than my insurance deductible, should damage have occurred and I had to file an insurance claim.

I discovered a leak late at night due to an ice dam. I called the nextmorning . They had someone out that afternoon. Josh was a great technician. We had an unusually severe winter in Bend, OR (2016-2017) – 5 feet of snow from early December to mid-January, with virtually no melting in between snow storms. As a result, thick ice dams (several inches thick) developed on our eaves, particularly on the north side of the house. At about 1 AM a slow drip started in the master bedroom. Later that morning before I went to work I went to work, I called Ice Dam Guys. Ty showed up within the hour & started working. He worked virtually non-stop for 6 hours to clear that ice dams (as I said the ice dams were very thick – 6 or more inches in some places - & our roof has a steep pitch, which made his job that much more difficult). When I got home from work, Ty showed me what he had accomplished & offered to do more. He was friendly, courteous, professional, very hard working & very effective. He nipped the problem in the bud for us. The slow drip stopped & there was no real damage to the inside of the house or the attic. It was a pleasure doing business with Ice Dam Guys & with Ty in particular!

We had a record snowfall here in Idaho last winter, (over 48 inches overall non-stop once with 16 inches overnight,) and it was more than we could handle without professional help.

If you have Ice Dams, this is the company to call. They were great at explaining the process, and came out quickly. The job was done within 2hours. Very good job. Tech was pleasant to work with.

We contacted Ice Dam Guys after we discovered water leaking in our house from a build up of ice on our roof. They were prompt in returning my call and were able to come out the same day. They have great equipment that uses hot steam to cut through the ice and the leaking stopped right away. It was kind of expensive but less than having major damage to our home. I was very happy with their work.
