Yelp Review:Okay, so I typically don't go to buffets as it is difficult for me to stomach more than one plate of food, but this place leaves me begging to go! The selection here is unbelievable! They have Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Sushi, and even Mexican. They also have a Hibachi Grill much like Khan's! It's absolutely amazing!I came here tonight with family and for $10.99 (cheaper than OCB); you can get almost anything under the sun and more! The food is actually really good for a buffet, but seriously it's packed because it is a newer place! They have a really great deal on a lunch buffet too, it's only $7.99 and that just can't be beat!Pioneer press feature:No problem finding the new Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet in Spring Lake Park. It's the restaurant on University Avenue with all the cars out front. If there's a bigger or prettier Asian buffet in the Twin Cities, I haven't seen it. The owners have done a great job decorating the space (check out the fish tank and restrooms), dividing up the seating area and laying out the buffet. There are about a dozen tables filled with Asian and American food, a sushi bar, a hibachi grill and a dessert station. If you like sushi, you'll like this place. They do it right, going beyond the standard rolls. Then, there's the buffet with pizza, stir-fries, soups, salads and assorted seafood (shrimp, clams on the half shell, scallops, etc.). The food quality varies from really bad to really good. The mushy peel-and-eat shrimp were awful but the poached salmon was fine and the Szechuan green beans were delicious. Next time, I'm trying the hibachi grill. Open for lunch and dinner daily. Prices: $7.99 at lunch Monday through Friday and $10.99 at dinner and all day Saturday and Sunday. Service is terrible. Takes forever for them to take dirty plates away. Takes even longer to get drink refills. The Mongolian chef is disgustingly rude. Never will I give them business again. My son found an eggshell in his food. I found a hair in mine and my oldest son found a hair in his food. Stay away from this place.

I'm very undecided about Habachi but they are close to me when we're looking for a quick dinner. The service usually has a language barrier as for the food it's always like a hit or miss. We've enjoyed it enough to know when to come (dinner) but it's still just more seafood. As for the atmosphere it's not as large as Teppanyaki just a few miles away.

Where is MINUS 10?!? This place has THE WORST SERVICE EVER!! This is my first review of any place in a very long time but I was so moved at HGSB in spring lake park mn, I just HAD to write a review to caution other people to save them time and grief. It's $14 bucks, no big deal. But to leave any place with such a bad experience, I feel it is my duty to let people know of the HORRIBLE service that they would get at Hibachi Grill Supreme Buffet:
After having 2 bites of our meal, the server came an said "you need to PAY now". We had another friend who joined us later towards the end of our dinner so she only wanted iced tea. This lady who worked there asked if she was going to eat and our friend replied no, that she just wanted tea, the lady working there ROLLED her eyes at us and our friend and walked away and gave us a condescending rude inconveniencing her rude look! SO RUDE!! They made us pay in front of each other at the table, even our friends who were leaving before us instead of a paying at the front where the register was. They made us feel like thieves as if we weren't goin to pay for our meals. I've never experienced anything like this EVER. Needless to say, I don't recommend this place. The food was all right. Again terrible service: they made us feel like we were inconveniencing them, that ugly woman working there rolled her eyes at us, and she was very rude.

The food is good, and if you like sushi, there's plenty to choose from, better than many buffets in the area. And their Habachi is good too, for what they offer. Their better than many places in this area.

But I have to say that some people commenting here just don't tip worth a damn, I've often seen HUGE 20+ plus families drop a dollar on the table! Thus the servers who sometimes have to really knock themselves out for groups like that (who abuse the heck out the place) try and speak up once in a while.

Wish I could rate negative 10!!

I'm not one to go public with my opinions but this place should be shut down. Clearly from the other reviews, we were also not the first to be hounded for a tip either. My family used to frequent this establishment until about a year ago. The food had gotten disgusting. It was ridiculously priced. We started feeling sick after we ate there. The clencher for us was one evening when we were at Sam ' s Club and saw them leaving with baskets of watermelon, a flatbed full of cakes - which fell on the floor only to be picked up and still taken to serve- but also a cart full of cat food and litter. I mean, an amount of cat supplies that would have lasted normal cat lovers about 2 or 3 years. Seriously, we have 3 cats so I know. This was after we saw some strange "racks" outside the back of the restaurant. At that point we were done with this place. Recently, we decided we wanted to give them one more chance since there wasn't anything apparent about the cat supplies that we saw. So, last week we gathered the courage only to go in and be hit with pure fish house stink. We promptly left. And yet again, tonight we thought if they pass the smell test, we will finally try it. The food was barely warm, flavor less, had slimy sauces. In short it was disgusting. ..even worse than before. So to pay $13 a person for that was plain stupid. Then to top it off, the "waitress" was rude and all we had was water. Mind you, this is a buffet. Not much service needed. She actually flipped the bill over right after I signed it to see if I left a tip on the card. Since I didn't, she said you know the total doesn't include a tip. Just so you know, and stormed off. Now, we tip and tip very well for service that deserves it. For all she knew, I was going to leave a cash tip. We were appalled. Then to really clench it, she did the little kid mouth back thing to my husband, not once but twice. She did it again when my husband was speaking with the manager about the horrible situation we had experienced. Sadly, the "manager" didn't seem to care less and refused to provide me with the contact information of the owners. Unbelievable.

the best Chinese in Minnesota

this place has the best Chinese I have ever eaten in this state! with lots of different types of chicken and food and delicious sea food galore definitely would come here again!:P

If you don't enjoy sushi or use the Hibachi grill, then don't go here. Way overpriced for just the food plus drinks are an additional charge. No crablegs too =(
