Checked this place out with the girlfriend one night when we felt like Mexican food. it doesn't look like much on the outside, but it is definitely worth going inside. I got the mixed fajitas. They came out sizzling and tasted even better than they looked. The meat was well seasoned, and the vegetables fresh. I only wish there had been more of the latter. The $12/bottle wine was very good, too. We'll definitely be making this a regular eating place for date night!

I bought a Restaurantcom certificate to go to this place. The small print says the the certificate is valid from one year of the purchase. The waitress and manager said they don't take them anymore. These cost money on Restaurantcom, and they were rude and wouldn't accept it. I will not go there again.

The food was great but the employees are thieves. I gave them my card, they ran the purchase amount then handed me the receipt to sign. Since I was leaving a cash tip, I crossed out the tip line and carried the balance down. But the amount charged to my account included the tip, which means they re-ran my card with a higher purchase amount. I called them to get my money back and was told they couldn't credit my card, which I know for a lie because I work at a bank, and was promised a refund via a mailed check. Two weeks passed and I hadn't gotten a check, so I called about it and they hung up on me. What they don't know is that I'm a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and their behavior tells me that they are purposely committing fraud. In this instance they stole my cash tip and added it to my card, but I wouldn't be surprised if they also run cards for a higher amount and take cash from the register. So my caution to anyone considering going here, check your statement to make sure they don't steal from you too.

Caldo de Camaron or shrimp soup is what I always order. It comes steamy hot in an earthen ware bowl. It's an explosion of Mexican spices in a fish stock broth. No matter how many times I've order it, the shrimp is always big and fresh. I will warn you that it is spicy and will warm you up all over.

I finally made it back here after thinking about it 100 times. Clearly I need to listen to my stomach more often. Dominguez is the REAL DEAL!! Please eat here. The owner takes pride in every element of the meal and cares for each customer he sees. The food is second to none in the area and they have some real mexican gourmet food along with the fantastically prepared classics.
Today a friend and I decided that we wanted to try out something new in the neighborhood and we decided to check out Dominquez. We were very impressed. From the outside, the restaurant doesn't give you much to go off of, but once you're inside our impression completely changed. The atmosphere was great and the service was remarkable. Then we got our food and things got even better. We were very happy that we did not judge this restaurant by it's cover and gave it a chance. Everything from the bathrooms and the cute little private dining room in the basement to the food and the service make this place a great find.

Domingues Family Restaurant did everything right tonight! A clean, comfortable, colorful neighborhood restaurant with friendly staff and great food. The Carne Ixtapa (beef fajitas) with green salsa was amazing! The Mi Pueblo combination platter was wonderful. Great cold beer and yummy margaritas, too. Our only suggestion--the chips and salsa could be a bit fresher. We will be back another time soon, and this time we will bring our friends.

Best Mexican food I have had in the Twin Cities. And I have tried all the top 10 shown on this web site. The food is authentic and the service at lunch time was fantastic. That I am ""spoiled"" by years of great mexican food in Phoenix can not be overstated. The home made tamales were served with the best green sauce I have ever had, and the chile rellenos were made to order ( I have never been able to say hold the cheese). YUM!!!
