Most Trustworthy!

I have taken my car to Como Imports for many years. And I keep returning because they are the most trustworthy auto repair service I have experienced. On my very first visit long ago, I had a list of things to be done including getting new brake pads. No sooner had I returned to my office and I got a call from the shop saying that I didn't need brake pads yet, but they'd replace if I wanted. How many shops would do that?! Over the years they have taken consistently good care of my car, and I highly recommend them.

Hard to Trust

Had a warning light checked by computer here and was told that this particular warning was not a big deal and that they could 'turn off' the warning light. A month later the light came back on and took it back to Como and they found the same problem come up in the system. So we said we'd like to have the problem fixed because it wasn't worth ignoring any longer. Given that it was the same warning, wouldn't you think that the service check would be excluded from the total cost of the repair (something like $600)? Nope. They still charged the $90 fee. Ridiculous and frustrating.
In addition, the car started to smell like burnt plastic after the repair. It took 3 separate trips back to the shop before they could find the piece of plastic stuck in a pipe and the smell stopped.
Regardless to say I won't be back there.

worst repair shop

went in for oil change they charge you brake lights replacement even without asking you. twice in a row!!! got other parts changed but came back with same problem. confronted and ask for replacement but will only replace if labor is charged again!!! ridiculous! saying other parts contributing to the problem and needs to change other parts too! i went to other auto repair and double check the problem and see if other parts are contributing? NO!!! como lies and try to scam even till the last minute! was good and honest before but now they're bad and a bunch of scammers!

Awesome Repair Shop

I've been going there since 1995 and its still a great place. I've shopped around and gone to the dealership, but the guys at Como Imports are the best in my book.

The prices are good and the service they provide is much better. They do all of the repairs my car dealer would but for almost half the price.

I've had 5 different cars over the years and they've taken care of all the problems small or large that i've came accross.

I would really recommend that anyone looking for a repair shop check out Como Imports, you won't be disappointed.

Condescending mechanics and an even nastier owner

If you want to go somewhere and get bad service, please go here. I was surprised since they brag about how customer-service orientated they are and yet they are the complete opposite.

My husband and I spent a nice chunk of money to have our car fixed. When I came to pick the car up, the owner said he couldn't hear anything even though I could. On Christmas Eve night, the car broke down. We had to spend even more money to get the car in working condition.

Thank you Como Imports.

Worst Customer Service I have ever experienced

This is yet antoher untrustworthy shop. The owner scammed me into paying more for my repairs than needed. The vehicle has been having a problem for over a year now. When I brought it in, I was told that the problem magically went away. In the mean time, they found more problems that I should address instead, totaling over $1500.00. I repaired the majority of the issues he mentioned, but when the work was completed, he stated that the original problem I brought it in for, was back! He refused to look into it unless I paid him more $$ even though I had already paid for the diagnostics and about a thousand dollars of other work. When I disputed the issue, the owner became very rude and unprofessional. He even went as far to regulate how I paid for the services stating I was required to pay cash only for fear that I would cancel payment on a check/credit card. I have never been more insulted by a business owner in my life. I would never even bother writing a poor review about a business, but in this case I don't want anyone else to get burned by this shady and vindictive owner. He is out to make money and doesn't care how. He even said in conversation that, ""this is how he puts food on his table"". He knows he is stealing from people!

Honest, fairly-priced, good mechanics

I've used como for around 10 years now--they are top notch mechanics--as a shadetree mechanic myself I can tell when shops don't have skilled techs. I've brought them all kinds of weird cars with weird problems over the years and they've always done good.

I also send my mom and wife there, and as the previous reviewer notes they are not condescending to women as so many shops are. They do a good job explaining and giving customers choices.

Best place to have your car repaired

Everyone that works at Como Imports is really friendly, and extremely helpful. They respect everyone, and don't blow off women like some shops do. They have always called before doing any repairs and took time to explain the repair in depth. They also offer prices for brand name and aftermarket supplies so you can pick what works best for you. I've done a lot of looking around at prices at different shops, and Como Imports is the same price or a bit lower for the services I've needed.
