Overall
Incredibly Rude Owner

I had high hopes for Classic Tailors, but within 30 seconds of interaction with the place I knew I would never do business there.

I live in the Bryn Mawr neighborhood and when the need arose for a dress alteration, I was excited to visit this local business. I couldn?t make any of the weekend hours, but noted that the store opens at 7:30 on Monday mornings. I arrived at 7:40 am to find the store closed with no one in site. I used my cell phone to call the number on the front of the store, thinking maybe someone was inside and just hadn?t unlocked the door yet. The phone rang about eight or nine times without an answer.

I was going to give it a few more rings when I was interrupted by a loud car horn. Someone was pulling in the driveway of the store and was angrily gesturing to get me out of the way. When the man parked in front of the entrance and got out of his car I asked if he were the owner. He said he was. Fantastic. I love doing business with people who are annoyed by the fact that I want to do business with them.

He was unable to help with my alteration, which was fine by me, as I didn?t want to give him business anyway. If the store isn?t open when advertised and the owner himself is so rude to someone really trying to give them business, I really can?t imagine trusting them with any important item of clothing.
