I was just in the other day after I got word they got new owners. I walked into the place and was like wow! They Remodeled the place and it looked good. I went for lunch and it cost me 5.50 and when I placed my order it came out fast. I love that place now and at that cost lunch is on me next time. Try the Genreral Tso`s it was good and it came with brown rice ..... Good place to take a date if you do not want to spend lots of money and take some one to a nice place!

I order the sesame chicken and hot and sour soup. The hot and soup is horrible. Its runnier then usual and you can taste why. They had to have literally watered it down. It taste like tea. Worst hot and sour soup I've ever had.
I would rather eat Leann Chin.

Went for lunch. The dining room is stuffy, dingy and sticky. Some guy with a tee shirt and baseball cap seated me. He didn't say a word, disappeared into the kitchen.
I ordered a Hot & Sour soup and fried rice. All I can say is that it was digusting. The worst food I've ever been served. Instead of sour - they must have used cider vinegar. The soup was a gelatinous mess. It actually turned my stomach. I ate two spoonfuls.
Baseball cap guy didn't return for several minutes (I wanted to cancel the fried rice).
So I got up and walked out.

I ordered the General Tso's Chicken. It comes with white rice but I pitched them a few cents and upgraded to fried rice.
Some of the pieces of chicken are so hard I can barely chew it. It seems like this chicken is old. The flavor is good but the sauce is very runny and I don't reccomend a breaded chicken dish from this place cause it was super hard and almost impossible to chew. ON THE OTHER HAND! The fried rice was quite good and the chicken in that was tender. The fried rice makes it worth going back there and is the only thing that will save them from recieving 1 star.
Over all I would say you'll be better off getting your food from Eastern Buffet accross the street or down the street to Lee Ann Chin.

this is the place for that 1950's americanized conglomeration of celery, meat, and noodles swimming in a thick, brown gravy known as chow mein. it's a secret shame of many who purport to be ""authentic chinese"" food snobs, but we all know this is the stuff you grew up on in the midwest in the school cafeteria. the china garden makes the perfect version of this oft scoffed at cuisine. everything here is cheap and tastes exactly like you remember.

The China Garden is a small diner with American-Chinese decor. Though it is neither elegant nor chic, if you are looking for a delightful meal that is quite pleasing for all senses, this is a place you should try. The food here is excellent, and I personally recommend the 'egg drop soup, cashew chicken, and fried shrimp.' All of the entries are equally wonderful though, so do experiment.
