DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. The owner is an avid KKK supporter and loudly announces his views throughout the store no matter who he makes uncomfortable. His daughter actually joked about a "n.gger tax" I can't believe places like this and people like this still exist.

This place is fantastic! Great selection and really helpful staff, and prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended!
Very angry verbally abusive short little man at the register. Don't go here if you expect to be treated with respect and kindness. I don't appreciate being cussed out little "man"
Stopped in this evening, was in a hurry and they didn't have what I was looking for (no problem). On my way out, the owner (Jim) asked if he could help me find something, I responded by saying "no thank you" to which he said "yeah, right". He then went outside, flicked me off as I got into my car and mouthed "fu%$ you". I'll never shop here again and can't wait to tell others to avoid this jerk!
This is the worst place I've ever shopped! I was just in the store a few minutes ago and asked for a bag for my beer. The cashier politely told me he didn't have a bag for beer. I commented that that's odd since any other liquor store I've been to is happy to provide a bag. I attempted to explain that I have a disabled arm and it's difficult for me to carry anything that isn't bagged. At this point, the manager started ripping into me, said that I'm weird and told me to get out. I asked for his name, which he declined to provide, then I asked for the owner's name that he also refused to provide and again told me to leave. I asked for my money back, which he also refused to do. Nice way to treat a Veteran, isn’t it.I believe that requesting a bag for a purchased product is a reasonable request and, at the very least, doesn't warrant abuse from the manager! Polite explanations are good customer service, verbal abuse is not! Suffice it to say, I will NEVER set foot in this store again—nor will my friends and family (not to mention my colleagues, some of whom live in this neighborhood).I want to make it clear that this complaint is completely about the manager, not the gentleman at the register.
Never shop here. Went to this store looking for a particular brand of beer. Didn't find it and was leaving but person at checkout asked if I needed help finding something. Told him the brand and he answered 'Chicago' (the brand is identified with Chicago, true). I said I'll just go up the road (texatonka liquor does sell it) and he said, very audibly 'Eff you' (but the actual words). Never been in a business were employee or owner acted this way. Despicable. I have to guess he was half in the bag drunk to behave this way. Go to Texatonka Liquor or Liquor Boy or anywhere else, but Westwood Liquor doesn't deserve patronage of St Louis Park.
The store is a bit dirty and disorganized. When I requested a small bottle of Absolute Vodka (the kind you get on airplanes) I was charged $6.99 for it. Knowing that I can buy a bottle four times the size for $9.99 at most liquor stores, I declined. As I was walking out the door, the clerk/owner who had rung up my purchase said no no no, it cost $2.49. This is, in fact, what all other in liquor stores in the area are charging. The owner tried to cheat me and charge me almost 3 times what the liquor cost. Be careful of this liquor store.
I am not sure what has happened to this store, but the level of service has been declining month over month. I and my wife have used this store for over two years, and yesterday it was the final drop. The owner of the store, I believe his name is Steve or it may be something different I was too upset to remember, told me that he does not want my business. Again that is after I’ve told him that we have been coming in to his store for some time now. What’s more interesting is the reason why he said he does not want my business. There was a miss presentation of the price on the bottle of wine, and it was not just one bottle placed in the wrong spot, that spot was stocked 4 bottles deep in two rows. It was obviously a fault of the store to stack the product on the shelf that does not belong there and miss represent the price point. So when you at the register you’ll just pay for it or won’t even notice, I think that this is the chance the owner of the store took. At that point I was buying over $60 worth of wine, and the store owner instead of trying to smooth the situation and offer something, and I mean something but saying I DON’T NEED YOU BUSINESS!. THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED IN MY WHOLE LIFE. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO TO THIS STORE, YOU MIGHT BE TREATED JUST THE SAME. I WOULD NOT GO THERE EVEN IF THIS WOULD BE THE LAST LIQUOR STORE IN THE WHOLE STATE. Bad business practice and I hope and whish that this store goes out of business sometimes soon.
