the food so good and service.is so good
A hungry man can't get in @430pm. do to 3hr close in between restaurant hours. It vert sad and I'm never step foot there again.
Ambiance was spectacular, wait staff very attentive and sushi was very good for a midwest restaurant. Yours Truly, The Tasting Tattler
I tried Izumi's on Prospect, I thought the decor and the restaurant was a nice welcoming place....It didn't have that oriental feeling I like to have when I go into places that specializes in certain cuisines. I like the variety of food, but alot of their entree are a bit over priced. I guess you can say the location and "who" goes there comes in to play. I don't think I'd go out of my way for this place. Parking was a bit difficult due to the the location. it was good, but pricey
I went there with my girlfriend for a luncheon January 23rd 2010. I don't know if they have new owners, they bought there fish fresh from the pacific and had it personally shipped to them, but my goodness...the entrees were WAY overpriced. I had other japanese food, and their quality is great and the prices are wonderful, and very reasonable. I would never again pay almost $20 dollars for hibachi chicken dinner...20 dollars!?!?! for chicken and rice and vegs and 2 pieces of shrimp? We had sushi platter and it wasn't even filling and I left there really dissatisfied. our waiter was nice and welcoming but the lady that sat in the front was a bit pushy and rude.so that was about a year or so ago....I've noticed that some of the menu prices/items have changed and it looks to be different. I'm willing to give this place another chance....i have to say..they have this amazing seafood appetizer with crunch on top with the mayo spicy sauce from the sushi appetizer bar.<to die for! Ok Japanica..make me a believer.
