My child is a student at Pilgrim Lutheran School and she absolutely loves it! I switched her from an MPS school due to the increasingly aggressive environment. I wanted her to begin a path in a faith-based curriculum so she could be prepared for entry into High School at either Milwaukee Lutheran or Wisconsin Lutheran High School. As a parent, I love Pilgrim Lutheran School because of the amazing staff. Everyone pitches in to help out and it truly is a family environment with faith at the helm of each day's journey coupled with a strong emphasis on learning, not just teaching, Math, Reading and all subjects applicable to elementary school.
This is my Childrens first time being at this Pilgrim Lutheran and they love it. The teachers there are excellent and do an excellent job at working with parents to make sure the students are successful scholars. They also are very helpful in making sure they provide the extra help needed for the students.
This is a Brand New school to the WAWM school district, and it is FABULOUS! The Teachers & other Staff are just wonderful. My Daughter is loving her transition from Elementary School to Middle School.
Their is to much suspending going on at this school. I personally feel that the teachers can not deal with children's behavior. My child is suspended every other week for no logic reason. The children never keep the same teachers and their really needs to be two teachers to a class. Before my children receive a suspension there is no phone call to the parent. I am a working mom and I can not take off this often because their not taking proper steps to suspend a child or to keep the same teachers. I would not give them one star but I must in order to submit.
Tamarack Waldorf School is a blessing for our family. My children have never been happier, since we found this gem on the East Side of Milwaukee. Each day as my kids come home from school they are calm and happy and seeming so "complete" from their experiences at school. The Tamarack community is wonderful and the teachers (and administrative employees) are just excellent! What a wonderful school with a wonderful method of teaching children. They let children be children, and at the same time be confident and smart and true to themselves. Hurray for Tamarack Waldorf School!
My son attended Tamarack from pre-K through 8th grade and has had grade points in the 3.7 range in all three years of public high school so far, and my daughter is about to graduate 8th grade after attending Tamarack the same amount of time. I love the school, the inspired teaching, the whole Waldorf approach, and the wonderful parent community!
Horrible school, teachers and office staff.
St. Joseph Catholic School at 122nd and Center streets in Wauwatosa, Wis., is an outstanding school. We have had our children enrolled since 4K. Our oldest is now in 8th grade and has received an incredible education -- in academics, in faith and in character. The school offers a great variety of extracurricular activities, including an amazing forensics program and super sports. The teachers are wonderful. This is a very supportive community, and one that welcomes newcomers with open arms. If you are looking for a faith-based school with outstanding academics, choose St. Joseph. Families from Wauwatosa, Brookfield, Milwaukee, Elm Grove, West Allis and even West Bend have made the choice.
