I took copper in to recycle today. 22lbs #1, 5lbs of #2. When he rang it up it came to $1.60 a pound for #1 and $1.40 #2 I said wow thats really low and the guy with the pony tail said "yea it's really down". I said I looked online and its 50 cents higher. Not causing any issues I settled up (mistake) and went back to the truck. Something did'nt seem right so I called West Allis salvage to see what they were giving and it was market value 50 cents higer than this place. I went back in and confronted this guy and told him he was ripping me off. He blamed me for not asking the price and refused to even up or give me the material back. This guy is a punk, I will never do business with him again. He rips people off like this. Advice if you have to go here know your prices, know what the containers weigh first (empty), look at the scales. DONT TAKE HIS WORD FOR IT! Good luck!
Rude and a waste of my time there.
When I called they said they would pay for cardboard but when I got there they were rude and would not tell me why they didn't want my cardboard boxes. I will never go back there.
