Worst company, worst service, and worst place to live! Do not rent any apartments under this company!

I've rented from this company for 4 years. I recommend them to anyone looking for an apartment. My manager Jim was always very pleasant and was on top of keeping the building secure. I had an issue with something needing to be fixed and talked to Kelly at the office and she went above and beyond to help me to make sure it got fixed. Great company and a quality aparmtment

Do NOT rent from this company! They don't cash your checks for several weeks after you send it and do not have an online payment options. The property manager came into my apartment without letting me know ahead of time. He stated there was an emergency yet never told me after the fact either. I only realized when my locks were different from how I left it. I felt very violated. I would get texts from the property manager harassing me for vacuuming at 7:00PM. He also threatened to call the cops on me for having the TV too loud again at 7:30PM. I tried my best to comply with their ridiculous requests but moving out was the best choice I ever made! Beware!

DO NOT i repeat DO NOT rent from Key Management. I've lived in the black stone apartments for one year and cannot wait to move out. The building manager is EXTREMELY rude and gone as far as hang up the phone on me when i ask a simple question. When you call the office (by the way the office address is not correct on google and is no where to be found) you get about a 25% chance of them actually answering when they say there office hours are 830-4 mon-fri. I left multiple messages for the office and no one returned my calls. Not only is everyone unresponsive but it takes them about 3 weeks after the first of the month to deposit your check, so by the time they deposit your check its time to pay rent again. The apartments are very old and need to be updated (also extremely dirty when i first moved in). My advice look elsewhere, this management SUCKS.

I regret not moving sooner. Old owner and on site staff suck Tammy is the on site office staff then and now. Old owner never had anything fixed ever if you complained in regards you got evicted. In 2011 we got new owners and I thought yes they might get stuff done and fixed. But all came to an end they fixed the parking lot, the roof and have been fixing empty apartment and renting them higher price. Mean while people who have been here for long time (like my family) suffer. I was asked in 2011 by new on site staff (other then Tammy) for problems with my apartment I gave that and I have been asking to have stuff fixed for years and am still asking. They will fix the new apartments but people who have been on time with their rent and have never caused a problem we get crapped on. I talked to someone and they were told that in order for there bathroom floor in their apartment they rent which has already been raised when new owners took over now want an extra $100 to have there floor fixed. I think it is crap and if you have kids over the age of 12 forget it they have nothing to do. I have been told that a young friend of my daughter was told to get off her bike or they will fine her parents $500 for her riding. Kids 12 and older are not allowed on the grass on the play yard. I am not looking to relocated have been cause I can't handle it here anymore sad to say. I could got on but I won't there other reviews else wear from the past to the present.

I would never recommend this company. They only do yearly lease no matter how many years you have been in their apartment. there are tons of apartment that you do one year lease then it became monthly. but this is weird.and there are always accidents around the corner of 18 street and Wisconsin ave.So in order to be safe and save your money, do not contact this company.

Worst apartment experience ever! The maintenance was non-existant, one of the few times they were there they left a key to my apartment outside the building, and if that wasn't bad enough when I moved out they charged me for carpet cleaning... I had hardwood floors! Don't let the prices fool you, they are a bunch of scammers.
