        A technician came to my house to diagnose central air conditioning that was not working. The tech opened the cover and started their work. He did not seem to know what to do, having to call another tech or the shop to get further instructions. Another tech came out to assist, and I was told the compressor to my condenser (the outside unit) was bad.



        I asked for a quote on a new one, I was given a quote for a Goodman after asking a few times for the price. I was never given a paper quote, and the price quoted seemed to me not to be exact, it was a rough dollar amount out of thin air. The man who gave me the quote was difficult to understand, as his english was not clear.



        I was charged $146.38 for the trip and bad advice.



        I ended up calling Goggins Heating to get a second opinion. The tech was able to get the unit working again after filling it with 1lb of freon and adding a hard start kit (new, larger capacitor). Would highly recommend Dave at Goggins.
