I have been a customer of the veterinary clinic for--maybe 20 years! Their service has been professional and caring all the time--every time. I can only say that I give them the highest recommendation I can!

More than disappointing. Yelled at me for not authorizing them to put my dog down for an infection caused by tooth decay when the vet never recommended so much as a cleaning a year before. Vet was rude, and her only excuse was that a lot could change within a year. Diagnosed an enlarge heart and heartworm, both of which were incorrect diagnoses based on tests. Gave me pulled teeth complete with attached tissue in a bag like a vindictive gift. Never again.

So very disappointed in my last visit. Had 2 new kittens, who had fleas which vet did not discover ended up taking them to another vet shortly thereafter along with my other cat, That Vet correctly diagnosed and was able to treat. Even though I told Vet @ St. Paul they were strays they didn't do a combing with their first checkup or even check their coat.At the same time I brought my dog for vaccines and check up. All Vet did was do Vaccines she never checked my dogs ears ,eyes heart beat nothing. I told her she was itching as well could it be food allergies, mites offered no advice, bordered on rudeness, spoke to the tech about private issues, barely addressed the fact I was in the room. The care & attitude of clinic has declined drastically over the years. the only caring staff was the front desk employees.

The worse place ever they dnt care about the animals or costumers. I took my cat in because he had ear bites so they said, they gave him different shots plus his yearly one. When my baby came home he was down i figure it was because of the medication. The vet never said theirs going to be issues and he should be better in a few days. Less than 72 i found my lovely cat who was part of my family dead. When i went to the vet they try making up other reason why he died and after they did blood work and x-rays they found that he supposedly die of a urine blockish and the couse could had been stress from coming to the vet or stress do to a reaction from the meds. To top it off after all the money my huaband and i paid for his treatment which was over $200 they still was trying to charge to cream mate him. I understand thats a business but were is the human part , they became a veterinarian because supposedly they care for animals but in fact they care only about the money. Please if you truly love your little or big ones research the comments and ratings on the location your taking them. I get some have great experience but even the head veterinary was rude and cold and kept cutting me off no respect at all. I wouldn't give them a star i was force to so the submit button can appear.

The veternarian I spoke with about my cat who had been throwing up for a week was horrible! He acted completely unconcerned about the fact that my cat had thrown up repeatedly and didn't offer any possible solution. I actually had to get out my phone to google possible problems because the veternarian seemed to be clueless. When I then asked him about possible causes, he was like "oh yeah it could be that," but offered absolutely no help (and mind you, my cat was clearly sick). I will never return here- this place is a joke. What a waste of money to bring your animal in for help and the veternarian offers absolutely no assistance.

St.Paul is the Best

I have been here many times with the pets I have had over the years my parents also used to come here and we have always had very good service not once has anyone of the staff been rude to us and just because u had one bad time there doesn't mean they are like that just remember we all have a bad day once an a while. And some of that staff become close to some of there little or big fury friends so they may not be handling the loss of one of there friends also. The Vets are great and very caring and try to help you when you don't have enough money to pay for treatment I was in that same situation I didn't have enough to pay for treatment and they let me slide with giving them what I had now it took me a long time to pay them off and when I did I also helped someone else out that couldn't pay there bill because they were a none profit rescue and just couldn't afford to pay there bill. So when people say they want there money up front of course they do they are any other business out here you have to pay for your services first before you can either have your merchandise or before the doctor will see you. So how is it any different when you go to any vet you have to pay for your services first. You wouldn't wake into a grocery store and ask can you take your groceries and pay them later when there's money in your account it don't work that way anymore. So yes have money or a credit card when u go and I promise you your animal will be in good hands and if you find someone rude then ask for a manager and voice your complaint and let them know you weren't treated the way you think you have been treated.

Thomas and Ben love the staff at St.Paul they treat my family pets Luke they were there own.

Thanks Kate

I am so,so, sorry to hear that some of the people here had bad experience with this clinic. I took my small dog about 5 yrs ago who was dying and the staff was compassionate and caring and even sent the family a condolence card after a week of my baby passing. Now I have to visit this clinic again they do have good hours and the prices are reasonable. I have the brother of the first dog I took there 5 yrs ago,he is 15 years old and has couple of medical issues that I can't afford to take care of him,he has dental infection and a ball like a tumor by his groan and he is suffering from a kidney infection and his kidneys are failing and its just me and him we live alone and I can't care for him like I once could after becoming disable, unfortunately I have to put him down. I am glad that he gave us the (kids) their grown adults now 15 yrs, of his life he is very loved. I will be going to this clinic next week Tuesday because my baby is suffering too much,I just hope I will get the same treatment i got 5 years ago if not better. I will post again on how my service was.

Here is my experience, We had an emergency and since St Paul Vet had great hours and walk-in service, I brought in my dog in who had signs of distress. After signing the payment forms to ok the costs of the x-rays (you have to do this before they do anything common practice I guess but it gets worse) They confirmed that he needs surgary now. But first here is the cost, 1200 to 1800. Reasonable I admit but again, they need payment BEFORE the surgary can be done. Since I don't use credit cards and I would have to transfer the money to my account it would take 1 to 2 days for the transfer to take place. After wasting 45 mins the vet stated that maybe they can take half as a down payment and will check with the owner. I stated great, I can give you half now and when the transfer takes place I will give them the remainder then. This dog is our family dog who has 2 little girls who love him dearly please let the owner know this. The vet came back and coldly stated, No the owner of St Paul wants the minimum now before surgary can be performed, we can help you find another vet who may be able to perfom the sugery but we are much less expensive, oh and he is in very dire straits, After wasting another 25 mins making calls with no vet close to be able to do the sugery I told her that they are our only hope. She again coldly said that they need payment first because we have sent many people to collection in the past. At this time my dog was basiclly falling in and out of conciousness and it was obvious that he was in pain and we wouldn't make it to another vet in time, I didn't want to give these people another penny but due to the agony that he was in we had him put down to end his pain. To put more salt in the wound they seemed to wait for me to sign everything before they would begin the process. This is not what I would consider compassion nor do I believe that the wellness of the animal was in any way a priority. If you bring your pet here make sure you have a credit card or money available, Even in an emergency situation. I mean this from the bottom of my heart, if you love your pet, I would recommend you stay away.

Never again!

The only good quality regarding this vet were the hours. Prices are reasonable, but not drastically different from other practices. The service was mediocre and borderline rude. All of this was excusable however until dealing with the loss of a beloved family dog. The staff was uncaring and provided nothing but the wrong information regarding remains. Overall, this vet is tolerable but hardly worth the few extra hours.

Good Hours

I like this vet for the fact is there is no appointment. Disappointed that I had to spend $25 on meds for my dog and all she needed was a Benadryl pill. Didn't like the misdiagnosis. So overall it's ok.

I have utilized St Paul Vet Clinic many times. I like that they have Saturday hours. You can't make an appointment, it is first come, first served. So get there before they open. Each time, we have been seen within 15-20 minutes.

It's completely walk in and is open later in the day. The vets always give us a couple of options and never feel like they're pushing us to spend more money.

I took my cat here when he was peeing blood, and while I opted not to get the ultrasound to confirm his bladder stones--the vet performed one (free of charge) as he wanted to ensure that the $1000 surgery was necessary. I took my cat to a different Vet prior to this, and that same surgery( with all the unnecessary tests associated with it was going to cost me $4000.) They performed the surgery...and Mr. Malibu thought it was the cat's pajamas. He's all good and well and even likes the prescription food diet he is now on for life. I still go back there every few months to pick up cat food--and am always greeted with a smiling face!

I just got a new kitten and decided to take her to St. Paul Vet. It was walk in only but the wait time was no more than you would have to wait anywhere else with an appointment. Front desk was extremely friendly and I could tell that the staff were all loving pet owners themselves.
