May We Introduce Ourselves?

From 1947 until 1989, we met at 1457 North 35th Street and was known as the 35th and Cherry church of Christ. In 1989, we moved to our present address and we are known as the Brentwood church of Christ. On Sunday mornings, we sponsor The Spirit of Truth, our radio program on one of the local stations in Milwaukee. Each Sunday morning and Wednesday night, trained teachers teach a series of graded lessons for all ages. Also, on Sundays, we meet in our auditorium for a group worship, at which time our preacher speaks.



Our People Are Christian Only

We are a group of folks saddened by the religious divisions and lack of love and harmony about us. Believing the marvelous unity in the Lord can be found by following only Jesus’ instructions, we refrain from any denominational structures, names, organizations, creeds or doctrines. Following the teachings of the Lord, we are known only as Christians, and when spoken of as a group, we seek to be only His Church, thus a church of Christ.



Our Worship Is Simple and Devout

Our worship consists only of those elements which the New Testament reveals as having been used as worship by the church in the days of the Apostles. We sing and pray, partake of the Lord’s Supper, have the Word of God preached for our instruction, and give of our means for the spreading of the Gospel and caring for the poor. In all of this, we seek to maintain the attitude which Christ taught when He said: “God is a Spirit, and they that worship Him must worship in Spirit and Truth.” (John 4:24)



Our Services Are Evangelist

While listening to our preacher, you will no doubt hear encouragements to follow the Lord in your life. Rarely do we close a public worship period without giving each in our audience the opportunity to obey Jesus’ commands and become a child of God. Thus, encouragements to believe in Jesus as God’s Son, repent of one’s sinful life and be baptized into Christ will be heard during your visit. Any sincere questions about the teachings of the Lord will always be afforded a warm and carefully study with you.



You Will Be A Honored Guest

You are a welcomed and respected guest. In our worship, you will be invited to take part, yet no pressure will be made upon you to contribute, pray, sing or study. You may want to sit quietly by and observe, and you may have that privilege without any criticism from us.



Our Authority Is The Bible Alone

We want to seek God’s will through His word in all religious matters. Therefore, you will notice every action, every worship practice and every teaching will be accompanied by Scripture quotations, readings or references. We seek to teach and practice only what we can read in the Bible





We offer varied spiritual services and would be happy to assist you. We have free bible Correspondence Courses and friendly people who will joyously respond to you in times of trouble and stress.
