Last fall, I contacted Karen at Schulhof Properties. She answered the phone! No other properties even bothered to return messages or e-mails. I set an appointment, she confirmed the morning of, and she was on time. We had discussed the properties beforehand and narrowed it down to three. The first one we looked at was perfect. I was ready to sign the lease. Karen had another appointment so she showed me where the office was. It took about 2 minutes to walk there. She had already called in the information and the paperwork was ready. I looked at a lot of places and had nothing but stress. I was so relieved that I didn't sign somewhere else. This whole experience was so enjoyable. I had a question this week and texted Karen. Although she is no longer employed there, she returned my text within minutes (before 8 am) with the information I needed. She was such a great "first impression" of Schulhof. I will miss knowing that she is there.

We had no issues with the rental. We took care of the apartment and got our security deposit back minus a blind that we broke which was fair. The apartment was old, but when the hot water heater went out we called and they fixed it. No one was rude to us. I wanted to post our experience because they have gotten very poor ratings and that wasn't our experience. I think if you take care of your apartment and pay your rent on time, you won't have any issues. I will say the apartments are not super well maintained. We had an old thermostat with no clear plastic cover when my son moved in which to me is a fire hazard, but we didn't ask for a new one. The air conditioner was circa 1975. The filter was so plugged and filthy that I also found it to be a fire hazard. They offered to replace it for my son, but he didn't care. All and all an adequate first apartment experience for my son. We cosigned for him.
we are first time home buyers so we really didnt know what we were getting ourselves into. we started working with a family friend at shorewest and he didnt do anything for us. we were the ones driving around and looking for properties and we were the ones going and finding open houses to go to on the weekends. so i was referred to nina by my mom and i am so glad i listened. the very next day after talking to nina she made us 5 appointments to go see condos! and she kept her patience as we went out 3 more times looking at a ton more. the very last condo we looked at is the one we wrote an offer on. during this whole process nina has been on the ball. i trust her judgement, and she has made this whole process very easy for us. i would recommend her to anyone!
Katz Properties has been the best property management company I have rented from hands down. At first I was a bit hesitant renting from Katz reading some negative remarks but after dealing with my former landlord I thought I see if there was any substance to any of this. Apples to Apples you will not find a better company to rent from. They are friendly, helpful, and honest. I want to personally thank James for everything. He went out of his way to find me the right place for my budget and helped me get basic maintenance in order. I have concluded that these negative remarks online are from people that enjoy complaining or habitually late on rent.
Even though the Web site doesn't mention printer repair, I took a chance and brought in my brand new Dell printer that I couldn't get to function properly. Deleono immediately took the time to do everything he could to get the printer to work and offered suggestions, then made sure I could duplicate what he did to make it work properly. What a great guy and what a great representative for Aur! I'll definitely spread the word about Aur and go there for all future computer needs! I also felt good about supporting a small, neighborhood business.
I absolutely love my townhouse...I have been here now for about three years and plan to stay indefinitely. Not having to worry about upkeep, lawn care etc is priceless as I have no time between work and hobbies. Any issues that I have ever had were dealt with in a rather expedient manner and I have found the main office staff as well as our on site manager to be very accommodating and personable. I fully recommend Trike and especially Parkwood.
As a long term tenant of JVT I have grown fond of the heated pools in summer and the beautiful grounds in winter, as well as the gym and club room! I have lived in studios, 1 bedrooms, and 2 bedrooms over the years. Management has most recently also undergone renovation of a lot of the facilities, lobbies, laundry, and apartments! We also just got a new onsite management team and maintenance crew.No better place to live in down town Milwaukee!
Having lived there for 3 years I found White Oaks very pleasing. The office/maintenance staff when I was there from 2008-2011 was wonderful and very helpful. You must have lived there when it was under new management. In the summer the staff had resident cookouts and even had a staff hand operated carwash for the residents. One bad experience will make you also look for more problems to complain about, all buildings have their own problems.
I thought selling my condo in this market was going to be difficult, but Milwaukee Realty inc made it a breeze. It was a dificult situation because the new buyer had to sell their home. Our agent handled it like a pro and had the transaction closed in 2 months. I will definately use them again. Also they were the cheapest of all the Realtor we had give us their opinion. Our agent was always on time, and answered when we called
I was searching for apartments for quite awhile and was having a very difficult time finding anything I felt good about. Fortunately I found Ben who is a leasing agent for Katz Properties. He was able to listen to my preferences and then showed me 3 buildings that matched what I was in search of. He was very helpful and I recommend his services to anyone who is looking for apartments. I love my new apartment!
