Love, love, love this restaurant! Great food, great service and always delivered with a smile. So glad for the referral!
Generally I love this restaurant but after the experience today... I have to give a very low rating. My friend & his wife have a special needs child. She is biologically in her 20's but cognitively much much younger. She's always been able to order off the child's menu & the "conditions" for it have never mattered. But today.... It was different. Today, she was charged as an adult. When ordering it was specifically stated "a child's corn dog & child's orange soda." When explaining this to the supervisor & also the owner all that was said "anyone over 12 " is the only guideline. This makes me upset & this restaurant has lost not only my business but my friends as well. DO NOT bring your child here if they are special needs because they aren't accommodating for that at all. Such a disappointment
Food is phenomenal. The service is great and staff is much friendlier. This place has gotten everything together. Lunch specials are great, too.Overall very fair old fashioned prices with good, old fashioned cooking. I paid $7.50 for a grilled to perfection patty melt, fresh cut assorted fruit(or fries), soup, coleslaw, and a pickle. I usually eat two meals, but this filled me up good.
I go here A LOT!!! And only once or twice has things gone wrong. But that's the way it goes. I luv there food!!!
This place is only still open because of name recognition. People, we need to stop patronizing this establishment because they don't value their customer base. I purchased a catfish dinner that was terrible! The fish was fried in old grease. I'm quite sure the cook/manager was aware if this, he just didn't give a damn. No wonder the place is always empty. The greens had way too much vinegar, the mac & cheese was dry. Please, please people, we work TOO hard for our money just to give it away. Go patronize an establishment that will respect you and your money. I believe this place is used to treating their customers in a certain way, which some people have adapted to.
Went to Tower for dinner tonight after enjoying the food and service in prior visits. After today we will NEVER go again. 2 of our orders (fish and baconator) were served with a strand of hair. The fish was first, after biting into the fish I pulled a long strand of reddish brown hair out of my mouth that was attached to the fish. My brother in law joined us some time later and enjoyed his baconator, but ended up pulling a strand of hair out of his mouth when he was eating his fries, this strand was blonde. No one at our table had blonde or reddish/brown hair. The server was very nice and apologetic, the fish was replaced. She also sent the owner, Joe, over. He was completely rude and accused us of trying to get something free or discounted by putting hair into our own food. We reminded him that at no time did we ask for a discount or free items. We also quietly brought the issue to the server's attention, we did not create a seen. All he had to say was "oh, well that's what it seemed like was going on like you were trying to get free food." Not one apology came out of his mouth. He was a complete tool and should take some tips about customer service from his staff. Had he apologized instead of accusing us of what occurred we would have returned in the future.
I discovered this place recently and have eaten here with my friends four times. It's always pretty busy when we go, so the service is occasionally understandably slow. Despite that, all the servers have been friendly and helpful, and I've never had a bad experience. Our server tonight was Karen, who was friendly and good to us (thanks, Karen!) Now for the food: the broasted chicken is crispy outside and moist inside, the fried cod is perfect (the chicken–cod combo is a terrifice deal), the beef and barley soup is fantastic, likewise the beef vegetable soup, the stuffed sole was so-so (good flavor, but too soft and textureless for my taste), Reuben good but corned beef not as lean as I like (but I'm VERY picky about my corned beef). The desserts are delish, and most are big enough to share. I have to single out the apple streudel, which is made on the premises. This is a proper streudel made with a stretched dough (not papery filo), not over-sweetened. The best apple streudel I've had that wasn't made by my grandma. Plentiful delicious food and modest prices. I would recommend Meyer's to anyone.
great food friendly service !!!
Everytime I bring my family here the staff is always so friendly to us. The food is great, especially the broasted chicken and chicken dumpling soup. The prices are a bit high but you can get a deal with an appetizer and 2 entrees for $20I highly recommend Genesis for breakfast, lunch, dinner and anything in between!
