I HAVE FAMILY MEMBERS THAT GOES THERE. IVE CALLED THERE SEVERAL TIMES AS WELL AS LISTEN TO MY FAMILYMEMBER TALK TO A STAFF MEMBER, WHO WAS RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. MY CIUSIN WAS THREATEN AND TOLD SHE WOULD BE PUT OUT HER APARTMENT AND ON THE STREETS. SHE IS OFTEN BULLIED BY STAFF AND AFRAID TO TALK TO THEM I PLAN TO TALK TO SOMEONE OVER BEHAVIORAL HEALTH. THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING ME TO VENT.
I was looking for mental health help during a personal crisis. This has to be the worst medical facility I have ever been to. Besides the filthy and smelly facility I received no help. They refuse to allow a family member to stay with you and they search you. This was not at all what I expected and now I see why so many people in this area have serious untreated mental illness. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I walked out with out any help. They also have a senior citizen guard that follows you around in an unfriendly manner. Huge mistake if you end up desperate enough to seek help here!
The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is mis-labeling over there. If you can constantly navigate the broken bureaucracy, and if you can find a therapist and prescribing professional that will work with you, then it may be worth your time and extreme hassle. They worked with me when I had no insurance and no money, but lately it has become too exhausting an obstacle course for me to continue there.
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. I wonder how many people have ended their lives because of these inept "psychiatrists". If you don't have insurance, they want to get you out of their office as soon as possible. The longest I've spent in there was about 60 seconds, and they basically asked me what kind of drugs I wanted. At least the social workers are caring.
My uncle was refered by Dr.Smith. He lives in Milledgeville and I live in Macon. Carolyn called me Tuesday and I spoke to her Wednesday informing her I'll be bringing my physcotic uncle there Thursday morning. My uncle has Blue cross & Medicare but Carolyn & Jean Boone said the person who does the Medicare,Bluecross processing was,nt there & to come back Monday! No one in that huge facility can process it. Therefore I'll have to take my third day off work in a week and spend another$25.00 on gas! What made it worse was Carolyn smirking!
