Sleep Inn & Suites Millbrook - Pratville

With hurricane Micheal coming in and it being our first, we wanted to go further inland in order to have some peace of mind. We were limited on hotels with available rooms. This place had one room left for $119, so we thought it would be a decent place to stay, boy were we WRONG. It’s definitely not worth that at all! First calling them to ensure the room was still available the woman on the phone (Oct 10th,2018) was cold and short with her answers. We booked the room anyway, again very few had availablity. We get there, my husband gets our key card and the person at the desk gave off the impression that she was being bothered, again later on when we asked for extra towels as there were 4 of us and two large towels was not enough.
Off we go into our room (104). First glance it looked decent, though the smell was odd, then we opened the blinds and could see the gross spots in the carpeting (just stains, so we thought). After about 3 and a half hours of walking around and playing with our little ones, their new brightly colored socks had gone completely brown, as well as my white socks! At this point it was 650 pm and we had no where else to go! We spotted brown splatters of what we hoped was mud along the side of the dresser/desk set. The toilet smelled of feces, as if it hadn’t been properly washed in weeks. The breakfast was okay, though the employee (on Oct 11th, 2018) working the breakfast was not paying attention or didn’t care, as she passed by three times, the line of customers trying to get juice and water machine to work, no interaction with the customers, just seemed like we bothered her. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone! A lesson was learned, make sure to book a hotel days before a hurricane, so you aren’t stuck staying in a place that claims to be worth $119 when it’s varely worth $65-$70!
