I recently attended Lazy K Ranch as a bridesmaid in my friends wedding Oct 24th 2015.The ranch was absolutely beautiful. Not only were the grounds/barn well taken care of but they went out of their way to be attentive to the bridal party and guests. Steve (especially) and the other staff were awesome with waiting on the bridal party all night making sure we had drinks and our plates were cleared and we didn't have to wait for drinks in line. :) The DJ they use, Antoine is awesome as well. He brought glowsticks for the kids and adults and I thought it was such a kind gesture. Steve and Antoine were so kind and helpful during the rehursal and pre-wedding moments especially, they gave great advice that really helped make the wedding a hit. The food was also very good with lots to choose from. The only thing that I wouldve changed is the time the wedding night was to be over. 10pm (which was known ahead of time) Everyone was having such a great time, it would have been nice to dance a bit longer maybe till midnight or so. With clean up 10pm is somewhat understandable though.
I highly recommend Lazy K Ranch for a beautiful wedding venue!
Our daughter's dream come true! We were looking for a unique venue for her wedding, and Lazy J was perfection itself. All planning details were handled in an orderly and timely fashion right up to the day of the wedding. Meg and her crew made our night one to remember as they anticipated our every need and wish. Guests were thrilled to stroll the beautiful grounds, and dance the night away under the lights of the historic barn. We could not have been more pleased, and we highly recommend Lazy J.
we used lazy j ranch on june 22 2013. we were so impresed with everything. the staff was on top of every step we did. they knew what we needed before we did!! steve made it a point to take care of the bride all night from gettyng drinks to making sure the food which we brought was right. the whole staff went way out of there way to make it great. the rules they have there was pretty much nothing. they could not have been any better. when you rent a standard hall you get nothing compared to this place. the owner was there to make sure it was right. show me a standard hall where the owner is there. he was all over the place taking orders from guests to making sure the dj had everything to do his job. not only do you get a great place to have a event but, you get the owner to help show you how to plan and run your event. they have seen every kind of event there is so they know what to do and when to do it. the staff went over and beyond to help us as things went so fast we lost our timing of events and the order they were to be done. the staff jumped in and got it back on track for us. with no extra charge for it. it was perfect!! show me another hall where that would happen.at lazy j you get the whole deal, grass yard barns ,corn field,tennis court, balcony,etc...... to much to list. i cant say enough about this place thanks to lazy j for a great time. we will be back soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I recently got married at Lazy J Ranch and everything was perfect! The ranch is very clean the staff is very helpful and everyone enjoyed the square dancing. The owner of Lazy J Ranch was very helpful he answered all my annoying questions and he made sure all my guest were happy. He made sure I had the contract 2 weeks before the wedding. A couple of my guest somehow got left at the ranch at the end of the night and one of the staff members was nice enough to drive them home. The ranch is beautiful and reasonably priced.
MAKE SURE YOU GET A CONTRACT OF RULES AND COST OF ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING WAY BEFORE HAND!!!!!!!!!!!!! My sister ended her wedding night in tears!!! The property is beautiful and the owner seemed to be pleasant at first. My sister was given a quote for the cost of everything and goes to pay at the rehearsal and was quoted way a way lower price. She was expected to come up with a lot more money the day before her wedding day then was expected. This added alot of stress! We came to set up and have a mini rehearsal and the owner said lets not make this an all night event no ordering pizza and sticking around loitering. We already had plans for a rehearsal dinner at another venue! The next day when we arrive for the wedding the ceremony went well all went as best planned. I had confetti poppers for when they announced my sister into her reception which were taken from me. I was told that they were not allowed on the premises and they were hidden from me. I mean how dangerous is confetti?? I let that one go. A guest brought a bubble machine which we were not allowed to use in the venue as well. The staff didnt seem to be happy working there. The flower girl was playing with her basket of pedals and they got irritated about it, come on shes 2! I just found out that when some people were still eating they came to one table asked the people to hold there plates and took the table away completely underneath them and told them find a seat at another table, leaving them holding there plate in shock. The DJ was told to cut the music while people were still dancing on the last song because it was exactly midnight. Some of the people from the wedding heard of the cost discrepancy but waited till the wedding reception was over to confront the owner and ask why the price difference. He got very defensive and then proceeded to tell my sister(THE BRIDE!!) that me and my family needed to get the f*** out and get all of her belongings, leaving her in tears she asked me to help her pack things up. I asked the owner that if things were not corrected if he would make it right he shook my hand to agree. If you ask me all of that is very unprofessional if you dont know how to deal with wedding parties dont do them! I am a hairstylist and i deal with a lot of brides and other people in the business that also deal with weddings. If you want referrals and you want good views on your facility you should have the most professionalism! I hope he will apologize to my sister and go over his math for the cost. Hopefully he will change some pricing on his website to make them more realistic. I know of someone using his venue in October and told them of our experiences with them. They are using caution and taking preventative measures with the owner (they havent sent invites yet) I am just suggesting everyone get a contract of rules and cost way prior to using the facility for your wedding day! There is never any reason the bride should end the happiest day of her life in tears!
AMAZING!!! My husband and I attended a wedding in August 2012 at the Lazy J Ranch and had an amazing time! It was the best wedding we have been to in years. We would recommend the Lazy J Ranch for a wedding or any party.
The venue was GORGEOUS and so authentic! There are two barns to have your party in. The first is the historic barn that is over 100 years old. It is beautiful and very well maintained. It is decorated in an old western style but has Chinese lanterns and white lights to modernize the space. The atmosphere is great in this barn and all over there are western artifacts and antique signs. It is like stepping back to the old country when you are in this barn. This barn is extremely clean and well taken care of for its age. I could find no cobwebs or anything!
The second barn was recently built and has a modern western style. It is a large white barn with black trim and is very spacious and beautiful. The interior great room has solid knotty pine walls and ceiling – incredible! The bathrooms are also finished in this material. There were cute signs on the bathroom doors for “Cowgirls” and “Cowboys”. There was a great DJ that played music from all eras and got everyone up, dancing, and having a good time. We even took a hayride through the back fields of the property! We saw a few deer and a rabbit on the path. It was so peaceful, private, and enjoyable. They had multiple full bars set up and they had so many great drinks to choose from. The food was delicious that was served at the wedding! Everyone at our table loved it. They also had cookies, pies, and cheesecakes for dessert. Yummy! The round tables in the great room were decorated beautifully and complemented the scenery perfectly. They had white linen table cloths, a large flowered centerpiece and little decorations on the table. The chairs had nice white cloth covers with matching bows on them. Even the kids had an activity table with crayons, coloring books, and games.
The staff was OUTSTANDING! They were all so attentive and friendly to the guests, the bride and groom, and their family. Joe, the owner, was very friendly and professional throughout the night. He and the staff kept the party running smoothly. The staff went above and beyond their duties to help everyone have the best time. Everyone we talked to was so impressed by the venue, its staff, and the wonderful party at the Lazy J Ranch.
The property of the Lazy J Ranch is breathtakingly beautiful! Both barns are surrounded by open fields and an unobstructed view of the beautiful blue sky.
My husband and I were so impressed with this place that we are now having our daughter’s wedding and reception here! We could not have found a place more suited to our tastes and needs. We cannot wait to come back for our daughter’s wedding in July 2013. It is sure to be a blast! My husband and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Lazy J Ranch for a wedding or party! We had THE BEST time here and have no complaints whatsoever!
