Some sports fans like to rock up to a bar and cheer on their team. Others live for the traditions: tailgating, party-hosting, and dressing head-to-toe in fan apparel. Here are so…
My daughter is only 4 months old and did not attend a full month. Many years ago my oldest attended and they were wonderful and couldn't wait to take my daughter. This has been the worst experience ever. The reports would state how often and how much she ate which wasn't much...once I said something about them not feeding her much I noticed they were "feeding" her more according to them. They claimed she had hand, foot and mouth disease which she didn't because I took her to the Dr. right away but according to them she had it....well she obviously doesn't clean her own butt full of crap on her own so they obviously aren't very clean at that place for this to be happening to infants. They would lay them on the nasty carpet that everyone walks on instead of laying them on mats like other facilities do it's always on the same dirty floor. Regret so much putting my baby thru this awful experience. They get paid good money and give really crappy service.
1.Too many children in each classroom. Teachers unable to keep eyes on all kids.2.Rooms and toys are not property disinfected often enough.3.Very inexperienced staff due to rapid turn over.4.Staff is not trained and in compliance with required CE.5.Kids are not being interacted with enough.6.Kids are dehydrated from being sent outside with no liquids in the West Texas heat.7.Kids are being sunburned.8.Toys are not well maintained causing injuries.9.Age groups are mixed together often causing chaos and kids to be injured.10.Management has been in the center while having the contagious flu and stomach viruses because the owner refused to give her a day off. Same manager handled all of the food for the kids while being contagious with a stomach bug.11.Staff members complain about not getting adequate breaks.12.Owner is extremely rude to employees to the point of belligerent. 13.Children are not taught that biting is bad. Biters are not separated and taught better.14.All age groups are mixed together at the end of the day and the smaller children get hurt more often.15.Food menus are never posted for the parents to know.16.When asked what the kids ate that day, no one ever remembers.17.Doors don't latch properly leaving access to the outside and streets too available for small children.18.Floors are dirty often. Kitchen floor was bare for several weeks needing repairs.19.Bird poop is out of control in the front drive area.20.There is no schedule posted to know what activities the children do all day.21.Ongoing plumbing issues.22.Front gate doesn’t latch.23.Owner yells at employees and parents in front of children. The owner threatened to sue me for defamation of character if I reported them. She can sue if she thinks it’s needed. The safety and well-being of the children are my only concern.I would encourage an inspector to surprise visit them between 3 and 5.
*UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP*This is an amazing facility! Both of my children have gained so much from being here. They eat wonderful meals/snacks, have a learning curriculum that they actually follow & are both genuinely happy to attend everyday! I couldn't ask for better people to be around my children! Management is also incredibly knowledgeable in the actual "business" of what is takes to run a safe, happy childcare facility AND they are 100% honest with anything you ask which I've never seen any other childcare facility do before! I'm so thankful to have found Envirokids!
Both my children have been attending Envirokids for years now, so we have experienced all the age groups classrooms with the last owner & current owner. Since the new owners purchased the center, I have seen drastic changes in the environment, classrooms, professionalism, decoration, activity centers, health, cleanliness, meals and most of all how hard the teachers work to be just that, teachers, not babysitters. Everything honestly has changed for the better every other day I'm noticing updated walls with Disney Etc. Your concerns are addressed and handled immediately. The staff has always been very polite, friendly and ALWAYS communicated very well about how my children's day went. I've seen and experienced some terrible daycare sin this town, this is by far the best!!! Oh and they provide auto draft tuition payments so no more hassle with late fees, they take care of it for you!
Village is a small daycare and they care about the children. My oldest child went there from the time he was 6 weeks old til he started kinder, and now my other baby boy is there as well. A lot of the teachers have been there for years and I couldn't ask for a better place to take my child. I trust them 150% now don't get me wrong, my child wasn't the best at all times, but they work with them the best they can, unless they get no help from the parents.
My daughter absolutely loves "her school"! The staff is always welcoming and helpful & the facility is well kept and has an open feeling. I've never had a single issue come since my daughter's been enrolled for the past 7 months. Very happy I found this daycare!
The Village School is a great place. They are very caring towards your children. I had 2 children that attended starting in the baby room. They have an awesome pre-school program as well. I recommend them to all of my friends.
This daycare was a horrible experience for my 3 yr son and I. My son went there for about 6 months and suddenly the daycare started calling me and telling me I had to pick my son up because he was misbehaving (nothing had changed at our home to cause it) this went on for a few days and then they suspended my son for 3 days. I missed almost a full week of work because of it and no solutions were even tried. Not once did the owners talk to me about it what was going on, so I found a new daycare and have had no trouble there. It's tax time so I called Envirokids to get my tax information and they said I owe a balance for not giving a notice when they suspended my son and we did not return, they are withholding my tax information. Completely ridiculous! My son was the one that suffered, he didn't understand why he had to leave his friends.
This is a wonderful place to work, however I am looking for advancement now that I have completed my degree.
Fun place to work with great people. Management was very professional. The most enjoyable part of the job was working with the children. A typical day at work was just following the lesson plans. I learned to be more patient and caring.
