Many good things about liberty, however recently their 'phone help' has deteriorate. Average wait times of 20+ minutes, not acceptable for a bank. At one time Liberty had premier service ( phone). The issue is not the ability of the cust. service dept. but the very long wait times.
I tried to use liberty bank in conjunction with my main bank. Here is what happened. There were problems from the beginning. They sent mail to multiple past addresses and likely sent my debit card to one of them (I triple checked to make sure they had the right address. Their online banking is really bad. There is no indication on site of deposits or withdrawals for days if not a week or more. You have to keep track of everything yourself. A teenager using wordpress could make a better website and the mobile app isn't anything special either. It is so bad that a withdrawal of mine was counted twice and then I was charged an overdraft fee of $40 for it. Due to the amount of errors I chose not to deal with the problem through customer service immediately and wait until I wasn't angry about it to talk to them. When I came back I learned they had closed my account for no reason other than that I had sent an email briefly describing some of the trouble I had been having. It's only been a month and they decided to close it because I didn't reply to their follow up email or maybe they just didn't want to help me? I wouldn't know because I don't have an account to view their message from a few weeks ago. I understand it's a small bank but I've never experienced quite as much failure with one company in such a small period of time. I suggest going elsewhere and I've never felt that I had to write a bad review on something until now. Unless you have the time to get them to fix their errors I suggest trying a different bank.
