Middlesex Hospital is committed to providing the best health care possible to the people we serve. In order to do this, important health issues within the community need to be clearly assessed. Through this process, an institution learns what specific areas require the most urgent attention. From there, work can begin on improving the ways in which these priority health care needs are met.

I cannot believe the reviews about this hospital.
What they are trying to pass off for doctors is very sad.
How this hospital managed to make Top 100 is quite a surprise, especially when they don't even have essential equipment needed.
Imagine taking cancer patients, or those who have had strokes to an outside medical facility because they do not have a MRI.
This place is a joke, an ER visit will always be 6 hours or more and that is when the place isn't busy.
You would get better care at an animal clinic.
I didn't want to give any rating but it states that I must.
This 1 star is way to generous.
I recently had to visit the emergency room at 2 in the morning due to severe stomach pain and vomiting. I thought it was probably just a stomach bug- which is why I waited. My husband finally insisted I go to the emergency room. I didn’t realize they opened the new emergency room until we arrived. I was immediately brought into my own room while they registered me and gave me an IV and something that stopped the nausea (thank goodness!). Then they brought me for (I think they said it was) a cat scan. The doctor said he wanted to rule out appendix issue or anything else. Come to find out- they found out said it was a type of food poisoning.
Middlesex has always had great staff who really seem to care. But, I always just thought of it as the little hospital you go to for non-serious issues. Yet everything in the new ER was so new and there were computers and high-tech looking machines all over. I was really surprised- I never expected them to be so modern! Keep up the great work!
Middlesex Hospital is by far one of the best hospital's in Connecticut! I have been admitted to Middlesex twice, both times for a week. The hospital is continually meeting the needs of our community by establishing new programs and services. For me and my family, both experiences were phenomental and we belive that Middlesex is a huge asset to the residents of Middlesex County and beyond.
Middlesex Hospital is a community hospital unlike any other. They have amazing technologies that one would never expect to find outside of a major medical center. And the doctors, nurses and staff are simply the best. Middlesex has won numerous national awards and has just been named one of the top 100 hospitals in the whole country. You'll be surprised at the advanced capabilities they have - and everything they do is top-notch. My wife and I just had our first child there in November and can't say enough about the Pregnancy and Birth Center. And even more recently, they saved my dad's life in the Emergency Department and Critical Care Unit. Middlesex is Connecticut's best hospital - it should be your first choice!
